Hello All,

Well, as of today future hubby and I have booked a week at DL for our honeymoon. We had relatives who were going to send us on a honeymoon as a gift but figured it would be better to give us vouchers for travel instead so that we could choose our destination and plan better. (of course I wanted to try WDW but they were uncertain if we would like that)...Anyway, DL will be our honeymoon location (and we'll have a second grand honeymoon in wdw next year yipee!)..

Does anyone have any suggestions for romantic things we can do in DL, DTD, and DCA? It can be anything from an activity that we should try, to somewhere we should eat, to something we should request, to somewhere we should go to.

Thanks in advance!

Several things!
- eat at the Blue Bayou, request a waterfront table
- sit around New Orleans Square in the evening, just listening to the music
- Go to the little wine cellar at the Disneyland Hotel

Although actually I think you can make almost anything romantic if you put the right spin to it :)

I think the entire park can be very romantic after dark. Try to ride any un-enclosed attraction at night....even Alice can be pretty romantic ;)

Great suggestions!
I totally see the romanticism in just BEING in the park at night with all those twinkling lights.

I didn't know DLH had a wine cellar..hmm sounds interesting (but I guess I'm spoiled with Napa because its just a drive away from me).

Anymore ideas?

My first date with my wife was at Disneyland in February of 1989... I took her to Snow White's Wishing Well...to the right of the Castle...

We both made wishes...tossed-in the coin....and of course kept the wishes secret...'cause everyone knows they WON'T come true if you share them!

On the way home that night, she said to me that her wish had come true: she had a great time with me.

It wasn't until December 29, 1990 that I was able to tell her that my wish had come true. It was then that I told her (on the platform of the church, just after lighting the Unity Candle during our wedding ceremony) that my wish had come true...I wised on that first date to marry her. :)

That was so beautiful Kevin! I know the wishing well you are talking about! Unfortunately I think thats drained and ready for some renovation as well right along with the castle. So romantic!:lovestruc

I booked a dinner at Blue Bayou already so I'm excited for that. Is there any locations to know about within any of the parks, maybe something with a great view?

TIA!

The wishing well was still there as of this week but the water is drained. You may want to try the Vineyard Room at DCA or Napa Rose at GCH. It could make you feel right at home. Then again you may want to try something completely different. Blue Bayou like someone else stated. What about the dessert buffet for Fantasmic? Take a romantic stroll around/ behind the waterfall and beautiful grounds at the DLH after/ before enjoying a glass of wine or champagne at the Wine Cellar. Take a stroll through the GCH. Congratulations!

Hmmmmm.... I'm wrong.....sometimes.....

That's why SomeSayImGoofy, I guess.... :)

There's a waterfall at DHL?! Wow I'd love to see that. And yes I've been reading about the dessert buffet for Fantasmic, but doesn't Fantasmic end by September? Oh well if it does, I'll have to come back. Thanks for the suggestion madcoco I'll look into the Napa Rose for a dinner during the week.

Can I stroll about the hotels esp GCH and DLH even though I am not staying there?

Yeah, you can definitely walk around most of the public areas at the hotels.
