Hi everyone!

I'm new here and this is my first post! YEAH!

Anyways...my boyfriend and I are going to WDW in April. It's his first time EVER (my fifth time), and our first really big trip. We've been together five years, and I really want to make his first trip there special. I've thought of some character meals he'd think are cute, but I would really REALLY appreciate some suggestions for a romantic spot or two for a nice dinner.

Thanks! ;)

Wow, I could've written this, your stats almost match mine. This is our first trip together, too (my fifth, his first, been together 5 yrs, etc). We aren't doing any character meals, but I did try and find as many romantic restaurants that were convenient for our itinerary (we wanted to stay as close to the parks or in the parks as possible).

Here are some of my choices:
San Angel
Ohana
Sci Fi (not traditionally romantic perhaps, but nice "under the stars" ambience)
California Grill
Coral Reef

Popular romantic choices on these boards seem to be Chefs de France, Victoria & Albert's, Artist Point (probably any of the signatures). I also think Tony's has a pleasant atmosphere if you get seated in the main room with a view of the window with Lady and Tramp.

Welcome! You're going to have a great time!

On my most recent trip my BF and I really enjoyed Jiko!!! The food was awesome and it had the least amount of children. (Not that I don't like kids). We just thought it was great all around and the wine list was unbelievable.

Welcome to the Disboards!!
I'll be doing a review of San Angel shortly--. I suppose it could be "romantic" if you had a table next to The River of Time and there was no one else in the restaurant. But otherwise, I have seldom encountered a more crowded, noisy restaurant. The tables are SO close together that I was actually closer to the lady in group next to us than I was to Mrs. U.!!! We literally had to shout in order that the server could hear us when we placed our orders.
And kids everywhere.

I would also recommend Jiko's at The Animal Kingdom Lodge! Excellent food and atmosphere, plus, you can check out the beautiful resort while you are there.

We have children of our own so we are not anti-children, but for an adults-only dinner (we put our two kids in Simba's Cubhouse when we dine there), we found Jiko's to be great. (Children are allowed but we have never seen too many of them)

Hope you enjoy yourselves!

I just got back from a trip with my girlfriend in August. It was her first time down there and I've been many times. She really enjoys getting dressed up so I wanted to surprise her with a very special evening. I took her over to the Grand Floridian and we ate at Citirco's. Our reservation was at 5:30 (which is also the first reservation) and there were maybe 4 other tables seated, so we basically had the place to ourselves. (When we were leaving the restaurant was starting to get busy) We were seated by the window and had a stunning view of the Polynesian Resort and 7 Seas Lagoon (I will try to post the pictures). The food was EXCELLENT :thumbsup2 , by far the best meal of our trip. What was also nice was the live orchestra playing in the balcony that we listened to before and after our meal. If you get there early, you can also sit in the lounge behind the orchestra for drinks while you listen to the music. Afterwards I also surprised her with tickets to see Cirque du Soleil if you were looking for something romantic to do after dinner. (That show I HIGHLY recommend) Good luck with your trip!
