romantic restaurant with no dress code?

Well the official dress code at the signatures is pretty loose. No tank tops on men, no frayed clothing, no hats, no bathing suits. Hemmed shorts are okay, jeans are okay, tennis shoes or sandals are okay. Probably a little more than half of the people "dress" for dinner but the rest will be dressed fairly casually. If that's the only thing holding you back from booking a signature, I wouldn't let it stop you.

So for most romantic where I think the atmosphere is casual enough that park attire would not stand out, I would suggest Narcoosees at the GF or Artist Point at WL. Both are convenient to MK.

We love Fulton's at Downtown Disney and will be dining there for our "special" 25th wedding anniversary dinner with our best friends in September and we have gone in nice shorts or kaki time slacks each time we've eaten there.

In Mk- Tony's Town Sq or CRT if you want the whole character thing.

At Gf- Grand Floridian cafe (I would feel out of place at citricos in park clothes)

Wl- possibly Artist point would work but agin it is suggested "business casual"

Would you mind taking the bus to the Boardwalk Inn? Spoodles could be a nice romantic meal!

We went right from Disney Studios ESPN Weekend to dinner at Artist Pointe at the Wilderness Lodge. The men had on casual shorts and their sports logo collared shirts. My sis and I had on capris and nice tops. The only thing they told us was that the men had to remove their baseball caps.
They even took us in an hour earlier than our official ADR, and it was a Saturday night. The service was wonderful and so was the food.

We think that Boma at AKL has a very romantic atmosphere and people were completely casually dressed there.

I also think Beaches & Cream is sorta romantic... :lovestruc

None of the non-signature spots are romantic.
IF you can wear "dress shorts" (ie kakai, not torn, etc)) and t-shirts with no offensive pics or language, then all the signature restaurants are "in". Sneakers are fine as well. And don't worry about "standing out".
