DH and I will be celebrating our 5 year anniversary on our next trip and we do not want to have to leave the park to go back and change to go to a signature restaurant. We normally go to the world for 7 days, but this trip is going to be more like 4.5 days, so we are trying to maximize our time and be in the parks a lot.

What restaurant do you feel is the most romantic for an anniversary celebration in a park? We are leaving in 2.5 months, so Le Cellier is out (plus we were not impressed last time we were there), and CRT probably has no reservations left either. I am looking for something that will not be crazy loud and has more of a "cozy" feel to it. Any thoughts?

The only restaurant that can be considered anywhere near romantic in a park is Bistro in Epcot.

PS If you check out the actual dress "code" you might find that you can go to any Signature restaurant w/o having to change.

isn't very romantic with the characters and all and I'd suggest avoiding all character meals completely.

If you have to have the meal in a park I'd suggest Epcot and Bistro de Paris in France. It's pricy but quiet (very few little ones) and romantic. Chefs de France can be romantic if you get a window seat and it's later in the evening so very few children would be there.

My wife and I believe it is us that crate the romance not the place we eat!

What about taking the boat from Epcot to the restaurants in the Boardwalk area. That would widen your romantic options. I agree with PP that you will find that attire will probably not be an issue.

We love Bistro deParis in Epcot. One flight above the Les Chefs de France. Amazing food and a romantic atmosphere.

well - we are staying at BWV and were originally planning on being in Epcot that day, and epcot has evening EMH that day. We have always went to Yachtsman for our anniversary and enjoyed it, so maybe we are just better off being in Epcot during the day, having dinner at Yachtsman, and then heading back to Epcot for the evening EMH.

Normally my decisions are not this hard, but DH is trying to get out of buying a park hopper this trip......so he has thrown a wrench in the way I normally plan our trips!

How about Rose and Crown, request a waterside table and hold out for one during Illuminations.

I checked into that, but on that day the only reservation left is at 7:15. And even if we were even able to score a waterside table, I would not feel right dragging our meal out and ruining someone else's reservation. I was hoping for an 8:00 or 8:30 reservation. :sad2:

Oh well - I am going to keep checking back though to see if something opens up.....

Another vote for Bistro! Absolutely delicious, cozy, quiet, and no kids. There is a dress code but it's not very strict, so when I went, I wore jeans and a "nice" shirt to the parks. (Though I will say that if Bistro was out of the parks, I would have been in a dress and heels!)

I know i'm going to sound pretty corny here but we will be celebrating our 30th anniversary during our may trip. Quite frankly, if it's the two of you alone, pretty much any table service resturant should be romantic. It's more about you two.

San Angel inn is very pretty. My husband and I love Mexico so that would fit the bill for us.

We haven't eaten there in years, but I remember liking the food.

I'd recommend getting on a boat at the International Gateway and hopping off at the Swan and Dolphin for a dinner at bluezoo. The atmosphere is cool casual and very romantic. In fact, I'd say that the lounge is even borderline sexy, if that sounds like your kind of setting, and the bar staff and menu are equally fantastic. Either way, in the dining room or the lounge, it's probably the best adult-oriented atmosphere in any of the parks or resorts, perfect for a dinner for two.

After that, my next choice would be right downstairs from your room at the Flying Fish, but it's much louder and a bit more of a cafe feel (read: "crowded"), but in a good way. I think it's possible to have a romantic dinner for two in Flying Fish, as long as you're ready for the din of the open kitchen and fellow diners.

happy anniversary a bit early!

You are so right and that is why you are celebrating your 30th anniversary!!!!

(our 20th is in October...not sure yet where to go...but anywhere alone will be good for me!)

There is no 'quiet' dining at WDW unless at a very slow time and day.

We enjoy San Angel. The food is excellent but not for everyone. Not your typical Americanized Mexican menu items. Its dark, candle lit tables etc. Arrive early and if time permits before being seated, enjoy the short ride thats inside.

I would strongly suggest Bistro de Paris upstairs at the France Pavilion.

We ate at Brown Derby in DHS on our 5th Anniv. The server was wonderful, he took our photo and came back with a brochure/pamphlet thing and on the front it says the date Happy 5th Anniversary, Congratulations A Celebration of Everlasting Love, inside is the photo and it says "Celebrating a Hollywood Love Story" See this Hollywood couple in their latest romantic comedy... and so on. He brought us complementary champagne and dessert. We had a great time and will always remember it. Best part is you don't have to leave a park!

Tutto Itallia or a take boat to not only Yachtsman but Flying Fish at BW, or Il Mullino at swan.

Agree with this. Also consider the Rose & Crown reservation. We ate there a couple of year ago with a 7:30 reservation. By the time, we were seated (we did have to wait a few min), got apps, dinner, and dessert. We were just finishing up dinner when Illuminations started.
