My gf and I will be visiting WDW for the first time(for both). I'm hoping someone or a few of you experts out there have some great ideas for romantic activities. Tell me of things you know of or have experienced yourself. I'm tyring to do something special for her each night(9 nights) and surprise her.

A few i've come up with after researching....Palios, carriage ride at POR, wishes or illuminations cruise if possible, surprise night at AKL with Savannah View(she loves animals).

Any kind of fun couples activities would be great too!! Thanks a bunch.

Brandon

Do what you've always done and you'll get what you've always gotten

We're going this week with friends that have been there several times... they told us about a restaurant that will do a short wedding vow renewal ceremony (unofficial, of course!). If anyone else here knows which one that is, they might be able to help you out. (If that's your idea of romantic! )

Well, my wife and I just came back from our Honeymoon at Disney and the first night we were there, Labor Day, we had dinner at the California Grill and watched the Wishes fireworks display from our table. It was magnificent and it was very romantic and the perfect way to start our week.

Here are my suggestions:

A fireworks cruise on the Seven Seas Lagoon. Book through 407-WDW-PLAY.

The campfire movie at Fort Wilderness. Different Disney movie every night, weather permitting. Marshmellows, graham crackers and chocolate cost extra. Oh, the movie is FREE! Bring bug spray!

Hayrides at Fort Wilderness. Every night, weather permitting.

I'll keep thinking of more...

We went for our honeymoon and found WDW incredibly romantic!

Here are some things we enjoyed (or plan to enjoy next trip):
- evening stroll on the BW
- Getting a glass of wine in France and watching Illuminations!
- lots of time enjoying Epcot's WS
- couple's massage at GF Spa
- Cirque du Soliel's La Nouba (!!)
- evening dips in the pool

And some romantic restaurants:
- Cali Grill (during MK fireworks!)
- V&A (will try next week - yipee!!)
- Restaurant Marakesh
- Yachtsman Steakhouse
and I'm sure others will be able to add more!!

We also enjoyed having some wine on our balcony at our resort before heading to our dinner reservation. I recommend the book Walt Disney World for Couples. They offer tons of great romantic tips for couples with all different interests on all different budgets.

Have a wonderful time!!

On previous trips, my bf (now DH) and I have gotten a nice meal at one of the World Showcase restaurants and then watched Illuminations. This is very romantic. The last time we were there, my bf said, upon the conclusion of the show, "I don't know how anyone can be unhappy after seeing that!" and he was extra romantic for the remainder of our trip. There is just something about the lit torches around the World Showcase lagoon with the buildings from all around the world there that is incredibly romantic..... I can't wait for my honeymoon now!!!!!

My DH surprised me with a night at Animal Kingdom Lodge on our last trip in June! It was great!! He told them at the check in counter and they gave us a very nice room right on a water hole. I was wandering through the gift shop while he checked in and a cast member came up to me and gave me the keys to the room! I was so shocked!
Whatever you do you will enjoy the trip! Just be happy to be spending there time together.

Everyone has pretty much given you any ideas that I could come up with. One thing I will add is, I am debating whether or not to have a "romance basket" delivered to the room. You can try WDW Florists or Gifts of a Lifetime. I know the GOAL one contains champagne, Mickey-etched glasses, truffles, and I think a candle, maybe more.

I like the idea of surprising your other with a last night at a deluxe resort! Maybe next trip when my bf is paying!:p

ETA:

WDW ROMANTICSURPRISE - Bottle of Sparkling Wine or nonalcoholic beverage, 2 Mickey-icon etched wine glasses, Disney's Chocolate Truffles and candle. $96.00

In Epcot there is an ice cream social during the day at one of the resturants. Not sure which one..sorry! They do the "renewal" of wedding vows (free) and Mickey gets to be your "best mouse" My husband and I plan on doing this as it will be our anniversary while we are there.

If Money is not an option I HIGHLY suggest dinner at Victoria and Alberts. My husband did this for me for our honey moon...it was a night I will never forget. It's expensive but well worth it.

Epcot, Land pavillion, Garden Grill Restaurant...

has both the ice cream social and the

Re-hitching ceremony...

i've read other links on DIS boards about this or you can just google "re-hitching ceremony garden grill"

We think that the Polynesian is a very romantic place. My suggestion is Dinner at Ohanna's with a window view of Wishes. Ohanna's can be romantic at times, but not always. With the kids and the games they have at dinner, it can be a bit much for some couples. But for us, the overall experience is well worth it. If you opt out of dinner at Ohanna's, you can always have a drink at the lounge and then watch Wishes from the beach. Just walking around the grounds of the Poly at night with the tiki torches and the music playing can be a real nice experience.

My DH and I were in WDW for our anniversary last June. I had heard about the re-hitching ceremony and it sounded really cute.

It's in the Land at Epcot. I can't remember the name, but it's the restaurant the rotates. It's a character dinner with Mickey, Pluto, Chip and Dale. You have to remind the cast member that seats you about the re-hitching. After dinner, the characters come to your table and preform the ceremony. You get a little cake and a certificate.

I wanted it to be a surprise!! I had the cast member at the front desk of our hotel help me out with the reservations. I bought the bride and groom ears, an invitation to a re-hitching ceremony (which was a mickey postcard written out by the castmember) and a bottle of champagne. Had it delivered to our room while we were out.

Boy was he surprised. He actually thought that WDW invited us and I didn't tell him it was all my idea till after dinner. Otherwise he would have never went with it. It was alot of fun, food wasn't so good though.

wow I'm jealous. I'm sure whatever you think of it will be great!

Have a great time.

Go to nice restraunts and ask for a quieter, romantic spot to eat, and a CM will be able to assist you.

You could take her for dessert and order her one of the white chocolate Cinderella slippers. I would be sooooo excited if my DH did something like that for me.
