Rolling Stone Magazine names it's top albums

The Beatles' 1966 album "Revolver" was named the top album of all time in Rolling Stone magazine's upcoming survey of 23,000 readers. Rounding out the top 5: Nirvana's "Nevermind", the Beatles' "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band", U2's "Joshua Tree" and the Beatles again with the White Album.

It can't be based on what's the biggest selling of all time. I'm fairly certain that Michael Jackson's Thriller is the best seller of all time. I forget what No. 2 is, but I'm pretty sure that Fleetwood Mac's Rumors is No. 3.

Actually, The Eagles' Greatest Hits album (volume 2) is the best selling album of all time.

Doesn't Pink Floyd's Dark Side of The Moon figure in here too?

The Rolling Stone Mag's poll was based on 23,000 of their readers.

I'm sure if the poll had a broader base, the results would've been much different.

I'm wondering why Elton John or The Who wasn't mentioned?

"Dark Side of the Moon" actually is somewhere in the Top 20, but lower on the list than even "The Wall" (which is third all-time).

I see that Zeppelin is on the all-time best selling list a lot. That's nice to see.

I haven't seen the list, but certainly Skynyrd's Gold and Platnium is near the top (or should be)

I think Eagles greatest hits Vol 1 might be in the top 5 sellers also
