Going to Florida next week - YIPPEEE!!

Anyway does anyone know of any good sports shops where I can purchase roller hockey blades for an 8yr old, we have been told they are better priced in the States and are readily available in Florida, yet through some searching on the net unable to find a store in Orlando, can anyone help out as he really thinks he will be getting a pair whilst on his hols, he will be very dissappointed if he doesn't.

Hi Glenda and welcome to the DIS boards! You'd probably have better luck posting this question on the Community Board. It's a catch-all type board, and I imagine someone there can give you some more suggestions.

My son has played competitive roller hockey for about 7 years now. He is 14. The best roller blades or inline skates for roller hockey are made by Mission. You cannot buy them at a department store, they must be purchased at a sports store. Do not get him normal roller skates as they have brakes which are not allowed in roller hockey.

I think Play it Again Sports carries Mission skates and their prices are reasonable. They will have both used and new. If I remember correctly, expect to pay from $100. on up for good roller hockey skates. Also check out any roller rinks near where you are staying.
