Hi!

We are gathering our things to pack for our trip to HH!!! We will be renting bikes through Disney, but our boys, 11 and 12, we wondering if roller blades were allowed on DVC property. Also, will they be permitted to use their roller blades on the bike paths, especially the one to the beach house???

Thanks!
Karen

Rollerblading on the bike paths is allowed. I think it's also OK on the resort walkways, but would suggest NOT blading in the driveway- as it is very congested.

HH has miles of bike paths. The trip to the beach is an easy ride- by bike or rollerblade.

Enjoy the ride!

Rollerblading around the Resort itself may be really difficult. I had a hard enough time trying to stay on my bike and nearly crashed into a pole one afternoon. The paths within the Resort are narrow in spots and some sections are gated off (near the pool).

It might be a good idea for them to walk to the start of the bike path too and then put the blades on. Just outside the gates of the Resort is the parking area for Shelter Cove Harbor. Cars may not easily see the kids in certain sections. Even on the bike path, blading may be tough. The path is narrow and runs along a road that gets a fair amount of traffic from people visiting Palmetto Dunes Tennis & Golf Center and the other Resorts.
