Does anyone know how comfortable/uncomfortable the rollaways at the moderates are for a good size 16yr old? ( 6ft 220lbs)
We are trying to decide on 2 rooms at values, 1 room at moderates with a rollaway or a deluxe room.
We have stayed at all the moderates and all the deluxe except the GF, so I know all the differences between amenities.
I'm looking @ the bed situation. With 4 of us, DH & ds being of good size it gets hard to share full size beds.
2 rooms at the values would mean 4 beds & 2 baths IF you can get connecting rooms. The deluxe that are availble for our stay with an ap rate will run us $290/nite, not that bad, but was hoping for a better rate. So the moderates would be great if the rollaways would accomodate ds for 6 nites.
We will be flying and don't think that we can fit an air mattress in our luggage.

We stayed at POR last year and DS 6ft (16yr old) slept on the trundle bed and I just asked him what he thought, and he said that it was not that bad! He is not a complainer so someone else may have had a different experience.
For the most part the girls (DD5 DD8 could have slept on it but DS kept it all week, so I am assuming that he did not find it too uncomfortable.

We had used a rollaway last sept. and personally I thought it was way more comfortable than the actual beds in our room. :)

We've gotten them before and they are surprising comfy. MUCH softer than the actual beds and not teeny-tiny like you'd think.

Which resorts have roll aways? I did not think any of them had them available. POR does have trundle units in AB section which I though were OK, but I did not think they were available anywhere else.

We have had them in all 4 moderates, and my kids find them very comfy. They are a nice size, bigger and plusher than the trundle for sure! About $16 with tax, per night.

Thanks for the info. Just one other question. Do we request a rollaway when we make resv or wait till we arrive? & are they limited availability?

Have you looked at the ASMu Suites? There is a queen bed in the bedroom, and multiple fold-outs in the living room. Plus you would hve 2 bathrooms and a kitchenette.

You have to wait until you arrive, and they are limited. We have always got one though.
