My husband and I just returned from a long adults only weekend at Disney with the DDP. We are pretty big foodies and ate well--California Grill, Jiko, Kona Cafe, Narcoosees (sp?), and so on. However, there was just TOO MUCH FOOD on the dining plan.

We managed to use all of our TS credits due to a number of 2 credit restaurants, but left 3 CS credits. We tried to use them all, believe me, but were just too full! We paid about $400 for the plan, and the receipts totaled to almost $600, but we had to work and stuff ourselves silly to use what we did. Needless to say, we will not do the dining plan again when we return. Although we like to eat, being reasonable about how much you eat certainly makes sense. We left our final restaurant each day way too full, and even took dessert to go a couple of times.

On another note, we loved the Wolfgang Puck Express in Downtown Disney. We used most of our CS credits there, and took pizza to go several times. It was generally the most creative CS food.

Overall, we found the meals at all of the restaurants except California Grill to be just average. After a while they all seemed the same: steak, salmon, shrimp; chocolate lava thing or cheesecake for dessert. I think quanity of food on the dining plan has certainly taken away from the quality. No more dining plan for me.
