ROLL CALL :WWOHP: opening week

Its official....DH and I are NOT going to GO..the heat and the crowds are doing me in...We think there will not be any actors, as most are leaving today, including Rowling. We believe they did the good stuff last night.

I am SERIOUSLY considering not going...I do not know if I can handle the crowds...I actually bummed as I had been planning on going for MONTHS, and here we are, in the final hours, and I am looking to bail. I may not get to the garage until 7:30ish and by then, the wait will be HORRID!
You and I are in the same boat...I guess I'll decide in the morning. It's either go to Universal or cut the grass. :rotfl:

I am soooo glad that I'm not the only one that's having second thoughts about going to the GO. I want to go... I'm curious to see what Universal will do for the big GO, but then I think about the crowds  and think it might be safer to sit at home and watch the live feed instead.

The front desk at RPR is saying that while guests will be allowed in at 8, WWOHP will not be open to the general public until 10:30. We are planning to arrive at 7:30am to check out the crowds. If it's too crazy we'll goto US and ride the Simpson ride.

Do you think crowds will die down later in the week or NO? :scared1: and is it true they can turn people with tickets away due to capacity?
I'm pretty sure they can. And by the way, that was a typo, I was told they are expecting 300,000 there tomorrow!

You might want to be careful listening to the front desk at the hotels. We were told we could get in to WWOHP early this morning, when in fact only onsite guests with special vouchers could get in from 12-3. I was told at the parks that right now(well that was this morning) noone is getting in until after the GO. Think about it--how are they going to have a GO ceremony with thousands of guests already in there?

Count me in for RPR from June 21st to June 26th. It's me, my best friend and her 12 year old twins (boy/girl). We're all nutty, die-hard Potterholics. So look for four people with their jaws dropped, hopping up and down, (especially the adults), and singing Mysterious Ticking Noise.

I would say look for the girl in the Snape shirts (I have several), but they're all black, and it's too hot for black tees at Univ. this week.

We're doing WWoHP/IOA on Tues and Thurs and US on Wed (and a top secret surprise trip to EPCOT on Fri - which with these crowds is probably a really good idea right now)

No pics to post, but I'm really chatty in lines with other guests, so if you think you might be talking to me, just mention Dis. :thumbsup2

Well, it's 3:30 am and I'm getting ready to hit the road. 18 hour drive baby! Won't be at Uni til Monday, but am nervous after reading the "grand opening" accounts. I just keep telling myself that we have a killer hotel (HRH) with access to 3 killer pools and the short walk to come and go as we please. I'm not cooking, I'm not cleaning, I'm not working, therefore I will NOT complain!

Have fun, happy travels, and best of luck to all of you!
