Yeah the heat has been BRUTAL last few days. It is supposed to get a bit better by Friday, but not by much.

Pretty sad that I have Orlando programed on the Weather Channel for IPhone. Even worse is that over the last couple of days I have been checking the weather every hour for Orlando and I live in Kansas!

Right now is is 94 degrees and feels like 105 degrees....

Me, DH and DD 13 are checking onto RPR 6/19 and checking out 6/23.

I'll try to figure out the picture thing but you'll be able to spot us with the wilting teenager who refuses to wear shorts.

I'll be there!!! I fly in on Sunday and am hitting the parks Monday am. I'm staying off site but got the express pass for Monday. I'm planning on spending the morning in potterland and venturing out after lunch and maybe coming back in the evening time. Not sure though. I hope the humidity isn't too bad I'm from the desert and it scares me. I'll be on my own so say hi if you feel brave.

They might mistake us for your crew, except for their not being a DH DS15 refuses to wear shorts as well. At least he left the black hoodie at home.

We will be there tomorrow, June 17th and June 18th, then we are on to Disney, but may end up back at US/IOA before we leave on the 25th.

We are driving straight through from New Jersey on Sunday morning the 20th. We are staying at Disney as we couldn't beat the price. We plan to go to Universal on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. I'm wondering what time we should be at the gate. I know the park doesn't open til 9 but I don't want to get there and already have 4 hour waits for the Forbidden Journey. Any suggestions?

Sounds like the package/hotel guests are in the Wizarding World right now and the stars have remained to mingle with them. How cool is that?!?!?!?!

We couldn't even get in this morning. They said only onsite guests WITH VOUCHERS from 12-3pm today, noone before that. Would have been nice if the desk person at RPR had told me that when I asked last night. Guess we will brave the crowds tomorrow to at least ride the rides with FOTL(single rider for Forbidden Journey if they have it, no FOTL for that I hear) and then come back to explore the whole world next week.

We couldn't even get in this morning. They said only onsite guests WITH VOUCHERS from 12-3pm today, noone before that. Would have been nice if the desk person at RPR had told me that when I asked last night. Guess we will brave the crowds tomorrow to at least ride the rides with FOTL(single rider for Forbidden Journey if they have it, no FOTL for that I hear) and then come back to explore the whole world next week.

It was a media event this morning. Sounds like the stars stuck around after the media event to mingle with the crowd that was let in at 12. I think that you should be able to get in at 8 tomorrow from what i have heard -- I'm going to check out the internet to see if any final details have been posted about guests and early entry. Make sure you are at the gates at about 7:30, if that is the case. We found that 7:30 was a good time to start lining up...especially because I am sure the hotels are full. Try asking at Guest Services because the front desk at RPR seems to be pretty clueless through this whole thing.

So I guess we could stand there and wait for the GO. Probably would want to get there by 8 though and I'm sure we won't want to stand there for an hour and a half, then longer for the GO. We'll just fight the crowds to use our FOTL tomorrow. If its too bad, we'll wait til next week. We are here through 6/25, just not onsite after tomorrow.

I am SERIOUSLY considering not going...I do not know if I can handle the crowds...I actually bummed as I had been planning on going for MONTHS, and here we are, in the final hours, and I am looking to bail. I may not get to the garage until 7:30ish and by then, the wait will be HORRID!
