The good thing is that the last week before our cruise is the holiday week-end, so that week will be light for me. I work 4 10-hour days. Mondays are my day off, and when the holiday falls on a Monday, I get Tuesday off as my off day. so that week, I will only have to work Wed, and Thursday. This will work for me Looks like I am the only one who has not gotten my docs See ya soon!

Still no docs. They called DCL Friday who told them they had not printed them out as of fri. 8/8. Oh well... I GUESS we are going We still have the "2-week" window. I wanna see I wanna see

Incharge - you might want to consider renting a car, depending on your flight schedules. We will arrive in MCO Friday night and stay at the airport Marriott. I will get up early Sat and head over to Budget to get the car. At the port I will drop everybody and the luggage at the ship, go to the rental car place and take the shuttle back. Budget is only about mile or so from the ship. We are going to the Magic Kingdom and staying at WDW Saturday, so we will rent a car for those two days as well.

For an intermediate car it was around $44 per day with all the taxes, etc.

If you do not have the extra time I would stick with the bus.

We got our documents 8/08/03. We got a double upgrade! We went from a catagory 11 to a 9!

We are going on the two cities tour and the Daubloon snorkel trip.

SFed... Thanks for car info. I think I will be too nervous to go that route. I have never been to the area, and would be too stressed to try and figure out where everything is, not to mention how to get there. I would worry about traffic, getting there, if I would get lost, etc. No, I think I would rather do the bus. If my sweetie was with us, that would be different. I would feel safer if he was there to navigate around. Since it is just DD,DGS and myself, we had better play it safe and catch the buses.
xnascar2x..Thanks for the phone number. I decided to wait until my docs come to make that call. I am a little depressed about not getting my papers yet. I like to know things are correct and in order, not this last-minute mess.
doulasaz... congrats on your upgrade also. your children will love seeing out of the porthole, I am sure.
dan and scott... I am sure you are going to enjoy meeting up with your friend. Have you all made plans to hang out together that day?

Call DCL or your TA. I think Disney dropped their rates for this cruise. I saw it advertised for $599 per adult (double occupancy). When I priced it on the DCL website Sat., I got a quote of $647 incl. taxes(no transfers/insurance). Worth a shot! My TA called me yesterday, and we should be getting our docs by tomorrow. Ye ha!

Thanks for the advice Woobie! I just got off the phone with DCL and they are refunding us the difference in the price. I asked if they could just apply the difference to my onboard account but they said that they couldn't do that because of some law.
