Roll Call: September 6-13...Anyone else??

I hate to wish time away, but I am more than ready. It has been almost six months since our last DCL cruise and I am going through withdrawl.

Docs should probably start arriving next week.

I'm really excited abou this trip! It's been over a year since we have been on vacation and are ready to go! I can't wait for the docs to arrive!

Sfed,
Does the docs usually go out to people who purchased thru DCL? I went through Cruise 411, so I think my docs are sent to them first. Everyone, let us know when you get yours, so I can check on it if they don't come to me soon after. I know it must e hard for those of you who have been on the ship before. At least I have not a clue what fun is in store:cool:

The docs do go through the travel agent first. We use All Seasons Travel and they are good about getting them out quickly.

You are correct that the anticipation is killing me. For our first Disney Cruise, which was over the 4th of July in 2001, we booked just two or three weeks out and we basically got on the ship with no idea what to expect (we also paid through the nose for the cabin). I don't know if we even had seen a brochure first. In some ways I am glad we were totally clueless, but we sure did waste some time figuring things out.

Now the ship is like a second home. If I ever win Powerball it will become my primary residence.

I can't wait for the first 2 days at sea, so I can just kick back and relax and have a nice cold tropical drink by the pool.

Did you see my post titled, "Nightmares?" I need this vacation NOW. But... as my friend says, don't wish it here too soon b/c then it will be over (& what will I have to look forward to?).

Woobie

No idea here and I cannot check myself because we booked through a TA. Unless they move us up to a Cat 3 or higher I would rather keep our room. We are in the same cabin as our last cruise on the Magic.

I can't wait to wake up that first morning and have a cup of coffee on the verandah and watch the ocean go by.

We booked directly through DCL and have not been upgraded yet. I just checked the reservation.

The shore excursion package came Friday. Has everyone gotten theirs yet? I have never paid in advance for an excursion. Usually we have just played it by ear and checked out the weather on the island when we get there. We have lucked up with private cab drivers taking us wherever we wanted to go. We wait until the "rush" is over, and the cab drivers who are still there will give us a good deal. I just was wondering if you all know something that I need to know about these excursions. Thanks.
Gloria

Hi xnascar2x,
The package came through cruise 411. It has where you can advance order your excursions.

I just received my Shore Excursions packet today! I can't wait for the Cruise Docs to arrive!

:bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce:

There are a number of new excursions. While we cannot do it becuase our DD is too young, the one to the BVI looks really fun.

We are under 40 days to go.

I can't believe we only have 5 weeks to go:bounce: :bounce:

We are taking our first Disney Cruise Sept. 6 - 13. There will be 6 of us total. My dh, three ds's (12,6,3), dgm and myself. Our cruise is a wish for our 6 year old, he has a terminal illness. However, the wish is NOT through MAW!! Our 12 year old is worried about having people to hang out with. Any other families with kids his age?
We are in an inside stateroom, we have read on here about Disney upgrading people sometimes. Any ideas how to do that?

THANK YOU DAiD! WE GOT THE UPGRADE!
