ok - NOW I'm starting to panic! It happens every time we go somewhere, I underestimate how much time it takes to pack 6 people, I get WAY TOO stressed. Have to tell myself we are not going to the boonies - if I forget something they have shops!

Will check in periodically during the day!

Boy, it is getting quiet here! Candy is coming to keep me company so I can finally pack. I work this afternoon, so I am finally being forced to do it now. Better go pay my bills as well. Why is it so hard to leave for 1 week??

I know it's a silly thing to think about (and who really cares) but..... I'm packing my jean shorts to wear to the wine tasting -- are you all ok with that? Or should I dress up for you??

You know Diana, I am wearing blue jean shorts as well. I'd bet a million dollars that Lori will wear something similar. I think it is our vacation and we don't have to impress anyone.

The packing panic has started. I keep thinking of different things and wonder if we have enough space. The 3 or 4 day cruise is so much easier because you don't have to worry about formal. I got the laundry done, the house in somewhat order and now all I have to do is pack. I forgot to buy a camera battery so I have to run out.

It really is quiet here today. Almost eerie! Not even Lori has checked in. She must be going through the panic like the rest of us. Talk to you later. Sandy

Hi, I should have posted this long time ago. On our last cruise the credit card bank had stopped our card. They said that since there were purchases out of the country they stopped approving our charges for our safety. It worked out ok for us because we only owed DCL 1.60 after they stopped it. They advised us to notify the bank next time. So I called the bank this time and they said that I did the right thing. I thought that you guys might want to consider doing the same thing. What is strange though is that they didn't do it the first time.

Thanks for the tip. Sometimes we do have trouble, sometimes we don't. Calling ahead of time is a good idea.

My suitcase zipper is broken! Hopefully Greg can fix it or else I will just pack my stuff in one of the kids' hockey bags! At least I have options!

How 7 people travel: 7 suitcases (1 each so they are kinda small but they each have their own with their names); 1 garmet bag; 1 dive bag with snorkel gear, beach shoes, masks, fins, etc (the thought of putting a snorkel in my mouth that has been in someone elses is kinda gross to me); 1 carryon size bag with stuff for kids' baskets from Mickey and Minnie; Greg's computer bag (can't leave home without it); my carryon (won't bring a purse); and 5 backpacks (1 per kid). Yes, that count comes to 17! Ridiculous!!!!!!
I know I could combine the kids' clothes into bigger suitcases but they really like having their own so...... what's a mom to do....

No wonder we usually drive!

OK, I just called my credit card company and they did appreciate the information. Otherwise, if we tried to make a bigger purchase than our usual habits, it would have been rejected, being out of state/country. We'd have to call them from there and verify that it really was us, ect. SO, Good tip Sandy. Thanks!

Boy Diana. I thought we were bad. Counting our two carry-on items, we have 7 bags for the 4 of us. ;)

Yes, there is some of us left. I have about 2 hours left at the office, then home to do the mad pack. My list looks ssssoooooo long.

I know we will have 6 suitcases, 3 packpacks, & one carryon. maybe we will just change our address to the Magic.

Beth

Sneaking in here to say hi and I'm still here. (I just won't say where!) Will talk to all tonight!

Who's leaving first thing in AM? Will you be on between now and then or should I say bye now?

Well, maybe I WILL wear jean shorts instead of a moo-moo house dress! LOL
Nope, no panic here. I've been goofing around with my Mom and sister. Went to go visit my cousin who was "never going to have kids", and see her newborn baby girl:rolleyes: . Then we toured our old elementary school. The 1909 building still looks awesome. Well built and preserved by it's new residents well. Had to make brownies for a school event tonight, etc, etc, etc. Life goes on right up to the last minute here. I did get some antibiotic for the kids just in case, but we all feel great now. Ben played golf with my Dad and brother-in-law today. Nice sunny day but chilly. Well, that's what's up around here. We'll finish off the packing tonight and get up at about 4:30 to go to the airport. If we are allowed, I'll look for you at MCO tomorrow, Sandy.

Both DD#3 & I had our pedicures today. I am all ready except for closing the suitcases. Tomorrow early AM DD#3 is taking #1 to the speedline so she can leave her car at home & we can take her luggage to the hotel for our pajama party tomorrow night. I wonder if we will get any sleep:earseek: :earseek: :earseek:

I am just TOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO excited & can't wait!!!!!!!!

Everybody have safe trips because we can't wait to meet you all.

Toodles:wave: :earsgirl:

We will be leaving Friday at around 1:00 in the afternoon. Drive 4 hours to Nashville, have supper, go to the hotel & lie awake all night waiting to go to the Magic.

Just found out the girls won't miss any test while they are gone. They will only miss 3 days of school & there doesn't seem to be too much homework. YEAH! We went to Jamaica last April & I thought they would die from all the make up work.

I already can smell the sea air & feel the sun on my face. I need to stop daydreaming & get back to work.

Beth

I'll be happy just to be WARM. My house is so darn cold right now, my poor little fingers can barely type.
I've got to get my frequent flyer accounts made up today, so it's easier than doing it after the fact. See ya!

I'm almost ready! If you don't count the fact that absolutely nothing is in the suitcases yet  But....I'm organized in my head and that's half the battle. We drive to Lubbock this evening (2 hours) because we have to be at the airport at 4am. Next stop Orlando!!

Everybody travel safe...can't wait to meet you.

Julie: I called on the credit card and they said they would have stopped it so thank you!

Wow. It was weird to find this thread at the very bottom of page one. I remember in the early days when it drifted to page three now and then. We didn't have DD1 back then LOL;)
Off to dinner with my sister, (she's visiting from Calif. so I have to get in some time before we leave). I'll check in right before I go to bed tonight, then that will be it!!!!
SEE ya all soon!

I'll keep stopping in! Have a safe flight tomorrow Lori, Patty (I know you're gone already), Krista gone, Sue gone, Sandy II Still here! but no time to even lurk I'll bet, Candy gone? Etc...etc... etc... Very lonely!!!!!!

Dudette # 1 is here tho!!!!

Lori- Jeanne wanted to wear jeans and our t shirts on Sat. and I wouldn't let her. I only have one pair that fit and I told her cruise wear! Yes, I'm the clothes horse in the bunch. Jeanne is happiest in jeans I think. SO it will be black capri's. If her legs get cold on the plane I may never hear the end of it!

well.... I'm down to 15 bags!!!! Now 7 of those are carry ons (5 kids' backpacks, my bag/purse and Greg's computer bag). So I guess I can say 8 checked bags! (7 people). I put the girls' three suitcases in one hockey bag so that cut down a bit AND gives me an extra suitcase in case I need it coming home!

99% packed, Oliver is here already and kids are all in bed.

Wanted to come home to a clean house but do I really want to stay up late tonight and do it? uuuuuummmmmmm.............

Will try to post one last time but if not -- see you all at the Port! We plan on leaving here around 6:30am, drive to Buffalo (1 1/2 hrs., catch plan to Jacksonville at 9:30, arrive there 2pm and to the Radisson -- about 3 hours.

In case you don't get to log on in the morning Diana-

TTFN! See ya real soon!

Panicing with last minute stuff being added to suitcase. Poor Perditta is at neighbor's wondering where her mom is! and her Bear-she hid it and I can't find it!!
