Hi. My name's Ian. That "Web Cam Ghost" nearly scared my head off! LOL
Looking forward to the Disney Cruise Line in October, 19, 2002.
I'm bringing my friend Oliver on the Cruise with me for my birthday instead of a party(My birthday is on June 17, 1992.)
And also i'm bringing my grandparents with me and my parents (obviously) and (of course) my 3 sisters.
My sisters are Alina, Lianna, and Annika.
They are, 6, 4 and 3.
I'm 10 and Oli is 10.
Lookin' forward to meetin' everyone!
:smooth: :jester: :bounce: :bounce:

Hi guys! A big welcome to Sue and John. Hey Sue, see if Candy want's to jump into the party here. You are such seasoned travelers! I guess cruises are just *that* good, huh?

And a special welcome to Ian! Ian, it's great to hear from you! I hope you and Oli have the greatest time ever. Man, I wish I had the chance to go on a cruise with a buddy as a kid. This is my very first cruise ... and I'm OLD!
I'm glad you liked the ghost. I didn't have as good of a surprise, since I heard my kids yell from their Grandpa's office. I blame him for passing this thing on. I hope you get to meet Katie, she's 9, so you won't be in the same club groups, but she's pretty fun and thinks boys are more fun to play with since girls pick silly things to argue about.:D Her little brother is Cody, who's a darn good sport. Kristen is another 9 year old girl going. She seems really nice and has emailed back and forth with Katie since I met her Mom on this board.

It will be fun to meet everyone. I can't wait for this cruise!
Take care everyone, Lori

Hi everyone!

Just to let you know I will be having some surgery on Tuesday. I am having a laparoscopy to find out if I have endometriosis. I have put it off long enough and can't any longer. I have pre-testing on Friday.

I will be ready for that cruise come October!

Denine, You definately deserve AT LEAST one spa treatment (a big one too) for that! (I know). Broke a rib putting together a new street hockey goal last Sunday (and Greg's in China until tomorrow!) so haven't been feeling great. It was really dumb but who would have thought!!!????!!!!!

Hope Kindler5 finds her way to this thread! Lori - yea we are UNDER 100 days!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Welcome Sue and John!!!!

Just 98 to go!!!

Sorry about the rib, that is really painful.

Anyone know how full our cruise is?? When are the final payments due? we are going on points, so there is no final payment.

Starting to get excited but we are going to WDW on August 16 for a week, so we are gearing up for that. Feeling very Disney right now:) :) :)

Thanks guys! Jerry was already giving me M&M's today ;) and I just had my pre-op testing!

I hope your rib is felling better! Ouch!

Susan, I am envious. Can we go with you?

Your all welcomed to join us in August!! We are taking my mom, our 2 daughters and one of their boyfriends, and my mil will be joining us for for a few days. Needless to say, a zoo
:) :) :)

My DH and I will be going 2 days earlier then the rest of the group to celebrate our 27th ann.(He robbed the cradle, ect.) We are staying at the Yacht club and doing the Chef's table at Victoria and Albert's. Should be interesting.

Don't worry about the surgury, they make it much easier now. I had back surgery and cataract surgery in April and am doing fine. Take it easy and do what they say and think about the cruise.

Sue

Sue: Sounds like fun. We have talked about going to V&A's but haven't done it yet.

I am not so much worried about the surgery as I am anxious to find out the results. What kind of back surgery did you have? I had a spinal fusion in 1985. I spent 3 months in a body cast. A lot of fun for a 17 year old girl

I will be doing a lot of dreaming about the cruise this week!

Everything will turn out just fine!!! I can't imagine a body cast for 3 months at any age. I had a herniated disk that reherniated 3 times in 2 years. First one side then the other and the third was kinda both sides. They did a discectomy on me and it has worked well. I can finally sit again. So much for the medical report. You will do fine.

Sue

Hi everyone. Sad to say vacation is over. Welcome Sue and John. Gosh, so much has happened since I last visited here. Good luck on your surgery, Denine. How funny, M&M's are my treat of choice, too. How are you doing, Diana? A broken rib in the middle of summer can't be easy. Sorry to hear about both of you!!! Don't remind me, Sue that we only have less than 98 days to go. The pounds I wanted to lose is still here plus I found a few extra. Lori, my dress will soon be yours if I don't settle down and lose. It is so hard to lose as at our campground there is a lot of seniors and they love to hold dessert parties. I don't really want to indulge BUT I refuse to hurt anyones feelings. Now that we are back I will try and lose and pray that on the weekends that they won't hold the dessert parties. Gotta go and check out the ghost cam. Should be interesting. Happy to be back! Sandy

Good grief, Lori. I am glad that I didn't have little ones around when I checked it out. My word choice was not nice. Kind of like Diana's. Scared the *********out of me!

Hi everybody!
I've been doing the family reunion campout last weekend, filling in for co-workers' vacations for the past few weeks, and getting it together for the rafting trip in Utah this Friday. I will be glad to pack away that tent for one last time. We're doing a 4 day trip so we'll have to put it up, bring it down, etc. for 3 nights. At least the outfitters do the cooking:D I booked us a hotel for before and after. Some showers are worth a lot you know.
Diana and Susan, get those bodies into traveling mode! Good luck.
Oh Sandy .... how about some M&M's ...... perhaps ... a Bon Bon too? I STILL DON'T HAVE A DRESS !!! I have a plain black skirt and will look for some nice tops, I also came upon a GOOFY dress that looks like it may have been what Snow White wore to funerals or maybe she just had a period of depression. It's black and gray, has a puffy waist and HUGE puffy shoulders.:) Katie wants me to wear it. I'm afraid kids will come up to me for an autograph then scream when they see the big nose and gray hair! "What did you do to her ???!!! Are you Snow Whites evil twin???!!!"

Take care all, Lori

(Oh Diana, where did you see Kindler5? I'll send a PM)

Oct. 19th We'll be there. Greg 48, Beth 33, Conner 9, Hannah 9, Gunner 4, with Grandparents JoAnn & Ron. It's our first Disney Cruise & the wait is pure torture. Learning so much from the board. Thanks to everyone.

Happy Sailings!

Beth

Welcome, Beth. I am a twins mom, also. My girls are 22 and I SURVIVED. No, actually, they were PERFECT. But---don't ever try to quote that statement to them because I would deny it. Sorry Lori, no M&M's for me. All my cruise clothes from this past January don't even fit. YUCK!!! If we should ever go to lunch again, it would have to be salad. Have a great time rafting. As you are well aware, I am just not brave enough. My husband loves to do all that, though. How is the water rated in Utah? Do you guys think that I could wear one of those suits with the shorts attached while parasailing at CC?

Hi Beth. This cruise will be SO COOL! I can't wait either, being a fellow first timer. Actually, you and Diana have a lot in common, too. (Greg's, Grandparents, handful of cherubs)
Sandy, we do have to get together again before the cruise! You and Ted come over and we'll BBQ some ... um-mm salad?
I bet you can wear any kind of shorts parasailing that you want. Just don't wear a tube top :) I called about the water levels, and the Green is fully boatable, although lower than usual. At least we won't have to get out and carry the rafts and kayaks! The hiking and campfire conversation will still be wonderful I'm sure.
Where has that 'Olando' Laurie been lately anyway. I'll have to email her. Krista and Strissel too. Hope all is well.

Hi Beth. Lori is right, we both have a Greg, Grandparents joining us on the cruise and our own built in playgroup! It doesn't seem to matter how much else is going on between now and October, the cruise is uppermost in my mind!!!! Can't wait! This will be our second Disney cruise on the Magic BUT the first where ALL four kids are old enough for the clubs (last time only two were).

Keep in your mind - NO HURRICANES :D :D :D

Don't say the H********* word!!!!

We actually have cruised the last 2 years during September and have had great sailing. One year, we cruised between 2 hurricanes and they just reversed the itinerary. That is the advantage of a cruise versus a land based trip, they just move the ship away from bad weather.:D  :D :D :D

Sue

You're right Sue. We cruised in October and LOVED it therefore are doing it again. I think the week (or two weeks) before us was the infamous "mystery cruise" where they ended up doing part of the now western itinerary (were you on that cruise?) Our weather was FABULOUS! It rained for 5-15 minutes one afternoon and was very sunny the rest of the time. Mid to upper 80's daytime (not too hot) and not even cool enough at night to break out the sweaters! IMHO you run the chance of bad weather no matter where you go or when but you're right that the ship can always go somewhere else! I'd be happy if we just parked it off shore somewhere - warm and sunny!!!!!

Lori - have fun rafting! I think it sounds like fun?
