Made the final payment and waiting (for what? 60 days now). We're in cabin 5624. Had the same cabin last year and looking forward to it again. Son, Robert, starts kindergarten on 9/3, will need to talk to his teacher at an open house about his school work for the week we're cruisin'. Any other parent making their kids do school work while we're gone?

My daughter will be starting kindergarten
on Aug 26 and will probably have home work too!
In cabin7034. Should be fun trying to get them to
do it!

We drive from Wisconsin to Florida, so we have the advantage of doing homework in the car. My DD9 got everything done in the car last year, and we left the homework in the car when we boarded the ship. It was a great relief. Hopefully we can do the same this year!!

Saw the pictures of deck 7 on Inkognito's web site. It looks absolutely perfect for the party.
We have seen those decks from above with nobody ever on them, but couldn't figure out how to get to them. We figured they were crew areas. I know where I'll be hiding! If we had been a little more adventurous on our 1st cruise back in '99, we would have found the secret deck. We were on deck 7 aft!

Getting closer! We will be in cabins 7100 &7102.

The girls (age 9 twins) have always had great teachers that totally support our vacation habit. They are pretty good about doing work on the plane & in the car. We were lucky this time to book the cruise during a 4 day holiday for them. So, hopefully they won't have too much to do.

Is anyone else not booking excursions? We are going to play it by ear (very unlike my usual style) My husband & I were on St. Thomas & St. Martin last year so we were thinking of renting a car on St. Thomas to go to Coral World, then to whatever beach we decide for the day.

Any 4 year old boys out there going? Gunner wants to make a new friend on the boat.

Beth

We are only booking the regatta on St. Marten for David, then also playing it by ear.
We think we might rent a jeep on St. Thomas and ferry over to St. John.
Is it just me or are the excursion prices ridiculous...
I just can't pay over $100 to go to the beach.

Beth, can't help you with a 4-year-old boy, but have a 3 1/2 year old girl. At least they will be in the same club.
Krista

I've got a four year old boy named Philip
and he would love to have a friend,
especially since his 6 year old sister can't be in his
group. We definately have to meet before we send
them to camp!

We have finally nailed it down.....NO EXCURSIONS!! We couldn't decide, and were groaning at the early morning departures for most of them. I get up at 5:30 am every day. On vacation it will be great to sleep in until 8. We will probably be going to St. Maarten and St. Thomas on our own for a little shopping if anyone is interested in joining us.

We are in Cat 6 Cabin 6584.

Its almost here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Laurie :bounce:

I E-mailed my excursion request. (dcl.shore.excursions@disney.com) I just have this goofy fear that I'll go suddenly brain-dead tomorrow and forget to call it in. I'll probably call anyway, and get them all messed up with a double request;) .
St. Mart's - I'm just pre-booking the AM Golden Eagle Catamaran, and if it's full, then the PM.
St.Thom's -We'll probably take a taxi to do Coral World/Coki Beach/Parasailing for the day.
We'll snorkel together at both places.
CC- Cody won't be old enough (7) for the banana boat, so I'm thinking the kids program on CC, and the adult beach is sounding pretty much what a relaxing vacation is supposed to be.
But, like most best laid plans ... it's completely open for getting completely changed!

The kids started school today! I'm scheduling a NAP one day this week. Yea!

My kids won't have to miss school for the cruise. They have a "fall break" that week, and teacher conferences on the Fri before. I love that our school does that. We get the greatest rates for kid friendly trips and less crowds. I suppose they'll still have a reading assignment or something, but it sure beats making up homework. So, that explains why we picked this particular week to cruise!

We should see if it's possible to coordinate everyone interested into a hearts game on zone.MSN or something. We (up to 8 of us) can chat real-time, while four of us play the card game. Actually, at least 5 of us are on AOL. There's a "private chat" feature (at least there was several years ago when I was learning my way around AOL) that we could plan a time to meet on. Anyone interested in either of the above? (Especially the hearts game?) LOOK at me! The kids are in school ONE day, and I'm looking for all kinds of ways to spend my new found time! Cody just started 1st grade, so to me, this full school day for both of them is like discovering chocolate!

Talk to ya'll later! Lori

Booked my shore excursions this morning!
St. M: catamaran in PM, adults only
St. T: parents, Ian & Oliver: Atlantis Submarine - 1st one
CC: DH and dad: AM Fishing Excursion!!!!!
6 floats

My DH actually called them in at 9am, no being put on hold or any problems whatsoever. First, I can't believe he did this - he is so not the planner! He has actually bought all the wine we are bringing also and picked out the wine for the wine tasting! who is this man???;) ;) ;)

I am very excited about doing excursions as on the first cruise we did nothing! Only off the boat for 1 hour in St. Thomas. It was GREAT but am looking forward to doing some things this time. Was all set to go to coral world & cokie beach in St. Thomas until I saw the picture of Megan's Bay and now can't decide!! Will just play that one by ear.

The countdown is on!!!!!!

Forgot...... We are in cabins 2075 & 2077 and parents in 2078. We actually LOVE deck 2!

Yea! I had an e-mail confirmation of my filled request waiting for me first thing this morning. I got the AM. Diana, the PM adult trip, full bar, no kids ... you are going to have SO much fun!
We ALL are. This is going to be SO, SO fun!!!

I think I already mentioned our cabin number, but if not, it's 7000.

Laurie, do you want me to forward on, one of those pictures that you sent Katie?

Oh, what would we be doing at 4:30 sail-away day. I saw in a trip report that the DIS'ers met on deck 10 at that time, and it worked out well. It seemed to fall between the safety drill and the sail-away events. What do you all think?

Have a great day everyone,
Lori:wave:

I have info from the following people:
Olando(Laurie)
Lori
JiminyC-fan(Sandy)
Kristaia
Disney6 (Diana)
For all those interested, I am collecting the following info: Cabin #, names of all cruisers and shore excursions. I will print it out to be handed out at the wine party or sailaway.
Sailaway is on deck 10 all the way forward by the basketball court. Wine party is Sunday at 2 PM on secret deck 7, all the way aft.
You may e-mail me the info.

I will also have bubbles for sailaway.
We are going on Friday to get our choice of wine for our wine party.
We are all making nametags so we know who each other is. We are putting our screen names and real names on them.
Don't forget your lime green: clothing, ribbons, whatever.

You are so good. We always need one organizer in the bunch.

Are we making our own nametags?
Krista

Thank you Denine for getting these things nailed down. Hope you are feeling much better by now.
(I have already made up name tags for my crew, Krista)

You all are ahead of me.
Made a cute paper chain out of disney paper for Clare's countdown. We take one chain off each night before bed.

Allright, now nametags. My husband is going to die. He already laughs at how obsessed I am with this board and our trip. someone has to be organized though:p

Hopefullly I will find lime green stickies for tags.

Krista

Krista, my DH will be dieing right aside of yours I guess!! LOL Maybe they can find a corner in the terminal to hide and pretend they don't know us? LOL

Well, it looks like my day was a lot cheaper than most of yours. Did not make any ressies for excursions. I want to experience both sides of St. Marteen. My husband is Dutch and I look forward to checking it out. The French side sounds like fun.

Denine, you kill me with your plans. Too funny.

Sure hope the dolphins appear for all of you. The first time we did not see them. I hope I do not lead you all astray. Just thought that I need to put that in in case you guys are trying to decide on the deck party or watching up front. It takes awhile to get up to the ocean so maybe you guys might want to go to deck 10 later. I don't want anyone disappointed.

Can't wait for this trip. Our friends are teasing us that we are "honeymooning". I guess you could say we are. Nobody but us alone. How cool is that? Just one thing scheduled and that is Sunday at 2:00. (Don't feel bad if you guys plan other gatherings and we don't attend. It is nothing personal.) No alarm clocks, no one expecting us to be somewhere, do something, NOTHING. Can we go tomorrow?

To all: The "Disney DUdettes will be on that cruise", So if you see 3 goofey middle aged women walking around with red T shirts that say Disney Dudette 1, 2 or 3. Say Hi. Second cruise with Disney and wouldn't try any other cruise line.
