Darren is the son anyone would want to have...adventurous, friendly, curteous, personable etc...That is how he was adopted by so many! Sad but happy to see him off.

Thank heavens I got to see it!!! Now...we won't talk about my son!!!! The one who hasn't been by here since December but that is another story for another time! LOL!

I am so sorry. It hit 75 degrees today, and Clare and I got wrapped up playing outside.

Bye Darren.
Is the Magic on Eastern or Western this week.

I hope that we get to see him in St. Thomas.

I am sorry I didn't get to chat, will probably be on around 8:30 central time tonight, after Clare goes to sleep. Any one up for a late night toddy, and toast to Darren, Sandy and Ted, and Denine for feeling better?!

Krista

What happened Julie? Did you party till you dropped with the 3-4 year olds? LOL!

Not much happening. We got up to 50 yesterday! I wish it was Krista's 70's.

Good Morning.

I sent our chat to Darren. Thanks for the picture of Darren leaving port, Bonnie. I can't believe how excited I was for him and then so SAD when this ship left my screen WITHOUT ME ON IT!! Hope we hear from him soon.

Sandy and Ted, hope you all had a great day of celebration yesterday!

I have lots to do today. We have a hockey player appreciation banqet today and I'm in charge of decorations so I won't be around to chat.

Everyone have a great day.

I have to clean and pick up for the carpet cleaners tomorrow.
Have to totally log off so I won't be tempted to just hang out.
Now I think I know how Bonnie felt with the celings.
Krista

Good morning friends. Another beautiful day. Sorry I missed the bon voyage chat in honor of Darren. Who all was there? I was definitely with him in spirit as I remembered him at the crucial time. Of course, I was happy for him and sad that I wasn't on it with him. Wouldn't it have been fun to be on the ship for his first official working cruise? Thanks for the pic, Bonnie!

Lori, didn't really buy anything exciting at AMS yesterday. A couple of photo albums and a Disneyland book that was 80% off. It has nice pictures and tells about the history of it for only 4.00. We have a gorgeous book from DisneyWorld that we love so we thought that this would complete it.

WAY TO GO, CODY !!!! :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc

Man...are we boring!!! No wonder none of the men want to join us!!!! That's all I have to say!

Have a good week at work all of you who work...how many work full time? I do...always have and always will! LOL!

Howdy All! Just checking in. Had a busy weekend but it will be slowing down for the work week I hope! I do have a pampered chef party to do on Tuesday, but after that, it should be an easy week. Wait, strike that, I forgot that Makenzie's pre-school is going to Gymnastic World on Thurday.

I'm sorry I missed Darren's send off. Was at Makenzie's first "friends birthday party". She had fun and didn't want to leave when it was time so I can say that it was a success!

As soon as someone hears from Darren please let the rest of us know! I'm dying to hear about the cruise from a cast members point of veiw.

Have a Super MONDAY everyone!

Hey Bonnie! What no new countdown?

Ho hum, another boring post from Lori. I'll try to keep it lively for BONNIE! Lets see, we went hiking yesterday on Lookout Mountain. While there, a lady coming down the path with her two big dogs who were pulling her down the gravel to get to my dog. I told her I'd go around an upcoming boulder so that the dogs wouldn't meet up and instead of stopping on the flat part next to the boulder, she kept on coming until my path was blocked. Wouldn't have been bad except, surprise, her dogs are totally aggressive. I ended up in the middle of them lunging after my dog. THAT was fun, (the stupid b_t_h) Our dog has a wound on her nose now that I think came from that. It was a really pretty day for the hike though. ... whoops, getting boring again... OK, the next thing that happened was that an alien ship landed and abducted us. Yea, that was really interesting until the kids and I got a bit motion sick and they threw us out. They kept Ben for a bit longer, so if he starts acting funny, I'll know why. Ummhum. That was our day. (Better Bonnie?)

Oh, we played Cranium with the neighbors last night. That was fun. I found out that I'm good at the word challenges. Like the ones with letters missing, can you tell. LOL

See ya.

Good morning. It is snowing again and very cold.

We went down to amish and bought an oak shelf for Kaleigh's room. Now we just have to put it up. That should only take a few more months! I worked again yesterday morning, took a nap and helped Jerry work on our parents taxes. Ours are done.

Today is just another day. Sorry I am boring. I did buy some baby oragel for when it gets really bad again.

I did think about Darren on Saturday. We were trying to figure out what he might be doing, like setting up for dinner. Is it time to go on vacation yet? January's trip had no lasting affects.

Denine I wish I could send you some of our weather....beautiful....I have a lot of crocus blooming, yellow and purple, and loads of tulips, etc coming up....spring is really on the way...it is going to be in the high 50's and 60's this week. Here if there is no wind 50 can be hot.

Don't think of your life as boring....I enjoy hearing what everyone is doing...it may not sound exciting to you but it is like having a conversation with a neighbor...we all can't live in the fast lane..lol

Denine when things get rough with Kaleigh just remember what it was like before she came into your life. . she is a blessing. Believe me there are more good times than bad....and don't we all have bad days. We can tell people with words when things are bad but she can only cry....I can feel for her and her teeth....and I only had problems with one.

My first two were l year apart to the day....that was like having twins the hard way....I know you probably think time is standing still some days but believe me one day you are going to look back and say where did the time go.

Think I will work outside after I clean the kitchen....see, the fast lane...lol

Poor Darren, I'm such a doting mother!!!!! I just popped in on the threads for his next 4 cruise passengers and told them to watch for him and let us know how he's doing! What will I be like when my own kids move out of the house? Oh, this week is an Eastern, btw.

OK Bonnie, I feel that it is my responsibility also to try to liven it up for you......

Here is my morning from hell....

Last Friday I went for my first mammogram, and the first thing this morning at work, I get a call from the hospital saying that they found something on the right side and I needed to come in today, not tomorrow. Well, I FREAKED!! I burst into tears and got in the car and drove to the hospital and spent the morning there for a repeat mammogram and ultrasound and THANKFULLY everything is ok! :D

I was really a mess, and am emotionally fried. I am still having a hard time with everything since my dad died and I need a break.

So Bonnie, was this enough excitement for you??? It certainly was enough stress for me!!

Have a great day everyone!

Gosh, Laurie. When it rains, it pours. I had a couple of those scary mammograms before. It took a couple of years for them to release me to once a year. Did you find a chance to pay for your down payment on the trip or did you decide to wait till April?

Lori, I can't believe you already have people checking on Darren. He has only been on a couple of days. Actually, that is good. That way maybe it will get him to post. (that is if he ever gets a day off!)

I had my TA at DU check the difference in price for the partially obstructed verandahs. It is a catagory 6 for the price of a 7. Wow, 800.00 more dollars than the SPR's. Guess we won't go that way! I would love one but can't justify the difference in price. Good grief, that could mean a lot less bushwackers or souvenirs.

Okay Bonnie. If we are a bunch of boring people come up with something to liven this place up. Any ideas? Sorry I missed your IM AGAIN today Bonnie. I forgot and left AOL on when my daughter came over. I am not ignoring you on purpose, I promise.

Denine, sure sounds like you are doing much better. Are prices pretty good in Amish country? I know quality is certainly there. We thought of Darren, also, and wondered each time what he might be doing. I can't remember is he on the eastern or the western?:D

Ted's home so it is now suppertime. I must go cook.

Just a quick post . . .

I am in the middle of the nightly homework H&#@!! The world seems to be against Turner. He thinks he is getting way too much homework. Unfortunately, he doesn't get enough of it done during the day because he likes to socialize. So, he must pay the price and have no TV again this evening. Thanks for letting me vent just a little!

Laurie - I'm glad everything turned out OK with the mammogram. That was the last thing you needed after all you have been through. You are still in my prayers!!

Lori - I'll buy a vowel - "I" and then I'd like a "C". What do I win?? Glad you survived without getting totally mauled. That could have been really bad caught in the middle.

Denine - Keep a washcloth in the freezer. Let her chew on it when her teeth are hurting. Baby ora-jel is good too. Keep you chin up. You are doing wonderfully.

Julie - leave the gymnastics to the kids. You don't want to mees up your back or knees.

Sandy - $800 will buy a lot of bushwackers and souvenirs. Or is it one bushwacker and the rest souvenirs? I hear it only takes one bushwacker!

Bonnie - enjoyed the chat yestrday morning. The player apprication banquet went great and I am so glad it os over. NO will be a word in my vocabulary for a while. Got to think about me for a little bit. I'll be wishing for fog in April!LOL

Sally - I wish I had you here to plant some flowers in my yard. I have really neglected that for the last couple of years. This year I plan on doing a lot of yard improvements.

Krista - log off completely?? Don't shut us out!! We'll miss you!! But, get those carpets done!

Gotta run.
Later!

<--- lurking

oh and yes Susan, you WIN !

Speaking of I_C's I got the cookie cr_p all turned in today! Yea. Wine party on ME tonight. 'hick* Sorry, I started without you.

Laurie. Yikes! You are SO due for a break.

'Night all.

Ok, so what's up? I have never been the first to post in the morning. It was always nice to wake up to "GOOD MORNING" from all of you. Let's get back into the routine people. Sandy doesn't like changes! At least you all had a lot to say last night! Man, I ended up with a cold now and my dreams were weird last night. Honestly, I dreamt of the board and all of you were posting nothing but smileys. How crazy is that?

Guess we better plan a lunch again Lori so that I can take those cookies off you. Ted is having trouble knowing that there are cookies waiting for us and he can't get to them. Poor baby.

Have a good day everyone! Sandy

SANDY: Thank you. I finally got on the Boards thanks to you. HAPPY BELATED 28th ANNIVERSARY!:Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: May you have at least 128 more!

Had a terrible weekend at work. I had a really sick patient who was ready to leave (C-Sec. 4 days) & ran a 102.9 temp. Stat everything - EKG, Chest X-ray, Blood cultures, etc. etc. All it takes is one really sick patient to keep you running all day. The other seven patients usually thrive on neglect.

It is cold AGAIN in New Jersey. Where is Spring?

I have one son like Darren. The one in the Police Academy is the one who will do anything for you and is really concerned about his family. The other son (the baby) leaves a little bit to be desired and my daughter is my shopping buddy & friend.

Hope you all have a great day & week. I am SOOOOOO happy I could get on the Board. TOODLES

 :earsgirl: JEANNE

Have soccer practice in an hour, meeting tonight, switch off with the babysitter at 6:00 and finally home around 9:30. Maybe I'll post or lurk then.
Carpets turned out great, I hate to walk on them.
Denine: Frozen bagels are good gnawers as well.
Laurie: I am glad everything is all right. That was not fair to do that to you after all you have been through.
Lori: you are too fu**y.
Sandy: What did you and Ted do for your anniversary? Inquiring minds want to know.
Julie: How was gymnastics, Clare takes on Mondays.
Susan: Sorry about homework he**. Glad the banquet was fun.
Jeanne: Reading your post sent me into cold sweats. That exact thing happened to me (they were going to let me out at 7pm but I decided to stay the night). I woke up with 103, and vomiting, they pumped the antibiotics, did all sorts of x-rays, then I couldn't walk or get out of bed. Catheter back in and they found out it was an illius (sp?). Well out came the vacuum pump and down the nose it went.(who says we can't get exciting around here).I ended up in the hospital for 14 days. Wow, wonder why another little one has not crossed our minds lately?

Enough gross stuff.
Have a good afternoon.

Krista

Yea, Jeanne is back! Glad to have been of assistance.

Shame on you Krista, must you ask what we did on our anniversary????? Actually, we ended up having the worst anniversary EVER. Heidi's boyfriend of 5 years called it quits on Friday. No warning. It was a shock to her, to us and to his parents. All of us ran around all weekend crying. Can't figure out what happened. He is a wonderful guy. Something is desperately wrong. He is not like that. We pray that he will come around.

Sooooo, because of that my diet went out the window. We kind of used meal times as times to get Heidi out. You know pizza, Mexican, Subway. FAT FAT FAT. I am so worried that I will have a gain tomorrow. Please go easy on me if I did. I promise things will get better.

WOW, frozen bagels is such a good idea. Where were you when my girls were little, Krista? Probably still in High School.

Like Sally said, it is SPRING here. Beautiful weather. But that is really sad though because March usually has our biggest snows. Oh well, a couple of more weeks left. I remember the days here that we had a short shower everyday in the summer. Where did that go?
