We had hockey practice this evening but we're home now. Are Barb, Lori and Sandy still at lunch??? I hope they had a great time. Wish I lived closer to any one or more of you to get together!!

Bonnie - you can be looking forward to chatting with us now that Glenn will be a part of our little group. Hint-Hint, Glenn, time to post solo.LOL

Not much to talk about here. I'll check back . . . LATER!

Hi guys. Lunch was great. Sandy says Hi since she cant get on the boards for herself. She's blaming AOL, but I don't know.... I just got on.
I got a tiara and very funny card from Sandy today. I wore the tiara in the restaurant and got very friendly "happy birthday" wishes from a passing waiter. Humm, I think I'll keep it handy. I like this Queen and Princess gig. The tiara says Happy Birthday in shiny pink stones with lots of REAL diamond(-like) stones all around. The card is of 4 rear-ends leaning over a mountain. It's titled ... ready? ...... The Other side of Mt. Rushmore. ROFL
Then Barb and Jaymee came at 11:00 BST(Barb Standard Time) and she gave me yummy smelling lotion, spray & shower gel from Victoria's Secret. Man, even the box from that place is sexy.
So, as you can all see, I'm really milking this birthday. Tomorrow morning I'll wake up old and fat and I'll know exactly where the added pounds came from. THE CHEESECAKE FACTORY.
Thanks Sandy and Barb for my fun day.

Bonnie, ditto that. Thank heaven for good friends!

Oh, BTW, you were ALL THERE. I leaned the group picture from the wine party on the table (against an empty glass) so we had the most complete group of 10/19ers yet. I even took a digital pic of Barb and Jaymee for evidence.

I'd better get caught up on the day now. Later gaters.

Hi everyone, after a long ordeal I think that I am up and working again. AOL was wonderful in walking us through the steps. They said that it is a very common problem. They tried 3 different things and ultimately got me here.

Lunch was wonderful. It is so crazy to think that I can feel so comfortable with people I met on the internet. I know Lori liked the Cheesecake Factory. Not sure about Barb and Jaymee.

Sure hope that the weather has cleared for all you poor people. I can't imagine how you have been pounded this year. Hope that Glenn made it home safe and sound.

Lucky Barb got snow today and it sounded like it was a wet one. Maybe more on the way this weekend. Doubt it but can always dream.

Is there still a wine party this Saturday? I think that Ted's dad will have gone home by that time so if it is still on you will probably be stuck with us.

Good night. Julie where are you?????

A 21 balloon salute to you Lori!!!

Sorry I was MIA yesterday. I had a pampered chef party last night and it went on FOREVER! This host drived me crazy! Oh well it is over and I have recouped from it. I guess you will have some shows like that. I will try to get on later today and maybe get to chat with some of you on AIM. I missed all of you!

Glad to hear that your weekend when well. I knew it would! Next month huh? Does this mean you will be traveling this time? Hmmmmmmmmmm! Enquiring minds want to know!

Have a GREAT DAY ALL! Especially you LORI!!!!!!!!!

FIrst-since I forgot! HAPPY BIRTHDAY LORI!!!!
GLad to hear you had a good time with the gang. I wish I was there in person rather than a picture.
What did you have to eat????? Did anyone try the Thai Chicken Pasta???? I never could get enough of that stuff...I would take it back to the hotel room, pack it on ice and eat the leftovers the next day....I should clarify that this was when I was in Houston on business.

Julie glad to hear from you. I logged into AIM last night briefly and you weren't there again...not even signed in so I got worried.

Krista-speaking of AIM I know you were on last night! Where's your post????

Mom & Patty--Where are you????

And Diana and Darren ????? Darren you have to say TTFN before you leave!!! I imagine you are very busy getting ready for you big move though but check in with us!!!

OK, Lori. You've reached another milestone in your life - the "I'm 39 again club". Unfortunately, I'll be joining you there later this year. The card from Sandy sounds hysterical.
H A P P Y B I R T H D A Y ! ! !

The wine chat is still on for Saturday (or Friday if that works better --- or both). I'll be there!

Gotta run get ready for work.

LATER!

Are we having on this Saturday? Who will be there? Oh dear, I don't have any...maybe I better do coffee this time. I prefer Saturday over Friday. Friday is my phone night. Hmmmm....chat with you guys or talk to Glenn? Sorry guys...there is no question as to what I would prefer to do.

What time?

I know the answer to your question, Bonnie!!!! Talk to us. Sorry Glenn! LOL;)

I have been thinking about Diana myself. Wonder what she is up to!! I was wondering if her dad is doing ok.

Thanks Lori, for posting for me. I think I got on about the time you posted.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, LORI !!!! :bounce: :bounce: :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc I am glad that I could help you celebrate. Oh know, what is your family going to think of me with that birthday card? At least I made up for it giving you the tiara. Lori, their special daughter, Queen for the day!! And my, you look so beautiful in it.:D The waiter thought so, too.

So glad that you guys made it to lunch yesterday. Lori didn't even drench you this time.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY LORI!!!!!

I can see you in your tiara now....

I won't be able to make it for the wine tasting this Saturday, but I am sure that you guys will do fine with out me. Try not to have too much fun though....no wine spills on white carpeting or anything, ok? We have tickets to see Late Night Catechism. I don't know if any of you have heard of it, but it kind of a satirical show about the old time Catholic schools. It should be fun because there is audience interaction. For example, if the nun on stage sees you chewing gum in the audience, you might just get called up on stage and repremanded!! LOL!! Or if your skirt is too short.... :p John went to Catholic schools K - High School, and I work at a Catholic High School, so it should be fun.

Have a great day everyone.......stay warm!!

Good Morning!!

Lunch was great yesterday. I really really enjoyed going up there meeting with Lori and Sandy. Although I was stressing wondering if I talk to much.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY LORI!!!!!!!
It was an honor to get to spend some time with you!

Mom is still in Texas. Scrapbooking like a crazy woman. Doing over 10 pages a day. I did not inherite her talents. It took me a whole year to finish one book!

Today is Jaymee and Tiffany last game to cheer at. I am already sad because today marks another ending. Jaymee last game that she will ever cheer after 4 years of being a cheerleader and the last one where I have both girls cheering together. :(
we are stockpiling college stuff. Next year she will be in Texas and I will be a basket case.

Sandy glad to see you back!!

It was fun yesterday spending time with eveyone even though most of you were there only on a picture! Thanks Lori for bringing the picture.

Barb

Well what a nightmare I've had! My computer gave up on me again, I worked out the processer was overheating but with all the running around I had no time to do anything about it. I have be trying to find time to get down to an internet cafe to post to you guys, but now a result! After taking my computer to peices, taking the fan and heatsink off the processor, giving it all a good hoover and then putting the whole thing back together again it seems to be working! :bounce:

I have to apologise as I haven't had chance to go back a read all the previous posts yet so I'm a bit behind with the news.

But here's my news:

My background check came back fine (as I expected!) and I got an agency to forward that to Disney for me. Also I got all the results from my medical back and they were good, they got faxed to Disney. They were then checked over by the DCL medical department who gave me the all clear!!! So I'm onto the final stage - getting the Visa. I have an appointment for an interview at the U.S. Embassy in London on Wednesday 26th. Yes, this is a day after the date I'm supposed to fly out, but it is the earliest date the embassy could give me. I have been in touch with DCL and they have pushed me back a week so I should be flying out on March 4th. This is providing that the embassy sends my passport and visa back to me in time as it takes them a couple of days after the interveiw to process the visa. All fingers are crossed as I'm determined to get out on that date.

Everything seems so much more real now. I have recieved a pack from DCL full of information which I've been reading over. I now also have my cruise contract and certificate of employment. It's all so exciting!

My last shift at McDonalds is tomorrow, 8am - 5pm. It will be sad saying goodbye to all my friends there, but it's amazing to think that i'm leaving to go and work on the Disney Magic!!! :earsboy:

Well I have an exciting weekend of filling out forms to look forward to. There are 3 visa application forms that I've got to fill out before going to the US Embassy on Wednesday. Also I have a form that I need to fill out and fax back to DCL. It's all exciting stuff!

I'll post again soon - Also there is a bulk e-mail I will be sending out soon with my new e-mail address in it and some contact details and more info.

Yeaah Darren !!!!! Thank you for keeping us 'post'ed! Wow, a cruise contract and certificate of employment! That does make it very real. So what will you do with all of your stuff? Can you keep it at your Mom's? Having a big garage sale (better hang on to that hoover though:smooth: )
Good job on fixing your computer. Do the employee's have a computer area for internet? Oh, so many questions. What a kick it is for us, to know someone who works on the Magic.
Hang in there. The wait for the embassy must be pretty frustrating, but it sounds like it will all work out fine. DCL won't let you slip away from them.
Talk to you again soon.
Lori

Wow, things are really progressing for you, Darren. Before you know it you will be on that Magic. We are so proud of you and proud to know a Disney Magic Employee. Can't wait to hear from you once you have boarded and started work. I bet you will have a lot to tell us. Can you also be reached by regular mail? Computers certainly are a hastle. We, too, just got ours working again. Glad that you did so you could post before you left. Yes, it will be sad leaving old friends but just think of all the new friends that you will meet.

Barb, good grief. You don't talk too much. What are you talking about?? Loved the lunch. I thought it was great that Lori brought the rest of the DIS family with her. Barb, you are so like me. I always think that this is the last time the girls...... or this is the last time we can do ........with the girls. What a miserable way to think!

Laurie, the show sounds like sooooo much fun. We do expect a report! Believe me, I would be in my best behavior as to not stand out. I would much prefer blending than standing out.

Okay, Susan. You just got on and immediately got off. What are you up to??? Can't hide from me anymore. My internet is up and running good. Maybe too good for some of you!

A night of Survivor and Friends. Sounds like a good way to sit back and relax. The little ones were .....ummm.....well........active.

So happy to hear from Darren!

Great to hear from you Darren...we will miss you!!!! Like Sandy asked...is there a way to get regular mail to you also? It is all so exciting!

Glad we could all make Lori's birthday party and happy to hear the we weren't soaked in beer this time! I can just see You in your tiara Lori! All you need is the sequined gown from formal night!!! What a picture!

I guess nobody had the thai chicken pasta. What did you all eat? We have a Cheesecake Factory about 45 miles from here in PA but my car being the way it is never go out that way.

Not much new here. Kinda lonely. I never thought I would say that having been alone for so many years. Weird.

Glad to here from you Laurie. That show sounds like a lot of fun. I only had one year in parochial school but got to experience it whenever I would visit my cousin in BOston. Like John whe attended K thru HS. I was always allowed to go to school with her when I visited since my aunt was very friendly with all the nuns. I remember having to get all dressed up just to drop something off at the convent for my aunt. And then there was the nun that left the convent....hmmm that's a story for another time! Boy did she let loose!

Have a good night all.

You're right, Sandy. As soon as I logged on the boys wanted to go out for Mexican tonight. Once we got home I had to monitor homework. Then, Paul needed me to do a report and invoice tonight. Now is my time. So here is a quick post then off to bed.

Darren - in case you see this. If we have the wine tasting starting at 6:00p Eastern time (I think that would be 11:00p your time), would you be able to gte on AIM and chat with us? We sure would love to have a group (online) get-together before you leave and this may be the last chance for us.

I need Sally to work on my scrapbook. Ten pages a day!!! I'll be lucky to get 2 pages a month now. Last weekend at the beach was a nice get away but I can't take a full day a scrapbook with my life!! Not that I have a life, just lots of responsibilities.

I only saw the last 10 minutes of survivor tonight. Was it a good show? We have a survivor pool going on at work. Only had to put in a buck.

Well, enough from me for now. I must go to bed!!!

LATER!

When is the wine tasting? Saturday I hope!!!! Not Friday! ALthough Friday at 6pm eastern would be ok...Oh dear
Glenn, if it is Friday...I will be a little giddy when I talk to you! LOL!

I hope Darren can make it....

SOmeone email him!!! I would if I knew the particulars. Are you all keeping me out of the loop for a reason? LOL!

Good night all.

Bonnie, I was thinking seriously about the Thai chicken pasta, but also wanted to get the Thai lettuce wraps, and both would have been way too much food. I settled on the lettuce wraps since that's not something you see everyday, and they were wonderful.
Susan, Survivor was pretty good. A couple of weird outbursts, I thought. I think the estrogen levels are approaching toxic. Same goes for the mens team. Not too great of teamwork during the luxury thing challenge (what's that one called?) Butch had to give directions to blindfolded teammates, but couldn't remember their names well. They lost out on a yummy looking jar of chum for bait. Ummm, that would be a delicacy breakfast in some cultures ... their culture, at this point.
Good night all. I'm off to work tomorrow. I have the wine party for Sat. night on my calendar. It did land on Saturday this time, right? See you there.
Lori

Julie! Where are you????
You aren't on AIM! You aren't here! Where are you???? Your big sister is concerned!!!!! No emails!

Thank you Lori for giving me the date...now the time. Darren has been known to be up late so 8PM may be ok for him. Especially since he doesn't have to get up for work.
I hope I can get into the chat Saturday. I may have to change my name after reinstalling AIM. I will let you all know what it is.

Lori-next time try the Thai Chicken Pasta...has peanuts in it, pasta and a delicious peanut sauce...I can taste it now!

Good morning Sue!

Good morning. Lori is correct. We landed on Saturday at 8:00 eastern time. I hope Darren can join us. And Julie, and Denine, and Jeanne, and Barb, and, Krista, and Diana, and anybody else (running too late to name everybody). If I get a chance I'll email Darren today.

Gotta run.

Later!

Good morning. I am off and running. Gotta go get groceries for tomorrow. We are having Ted's dad over over "lunch" for his birthday. I think he will be 84. He is bringing a lady friend who is older. He can't drive at night so we are having it at 1:00. I would assume that I will be free around 6 our time for the internet gathering. It is suppose to snow about 3" the last I heard starting tomorrow afternoon so I will kick his dad out. He lives on Lookout Mtn. and I do not want him driving up there in the snow. Last time that we had a trace he had 18". AND he only lives about 15 minutes away.

Will be busy today with the shopping, cleaning and cooking. All the things I hate.

Bonnie, I finally see Julie on the IM so maybe it was just a computer glitch. Hopefully she will post.
