I could...but I won't say a word. Consider it an early Christmas present.

Thanks for the early birthday wishes. Happy anniversary to Laurie and John, enjoy your day!

Today's a good day for me after seeing the Browns knock Baltimore out of the playoff hunt yesterday. It was so sweet to see Tim Couch waving at the Raven fans as he left the field after the game. They were so loud and then just stood their stunned when the Browns scored the go-ahead touchdown  It was so sweeeet!!! The only down side was they didn't show Art Modell sulking on TV. :(

Well, everyone have a good evening and enjoy the buildup to Christmas.

P.S.-- Denine, I heard the UPS truck on our street, but still no cookies.

I got home from work and the tree still stands!!! Yea!! I guess Perditta has stayed away from it.

Happy Anniversary Laurie and John!!!!!! Enjoy... don't work too hard John, Christmas is almost over.

Happy Birthday Garry a day early!!! Wow! You're older than me right!?! LOL!!! Oh Oh... I blew it...there goes my early CHristmas present...

Denine-could you r friend live in Fairfield perhaps? Paramus is the northern part of the state at least 2 hours away from here. Darn!

I hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas. MY best Christmas present will be on Christmas Eve.... Christmas off to DDIL aunt's house for dinner. We won't exchange gifts until Sunday the 29th. It isn't like it used to be.

Now working on the sweet potatoes. I only want to have to pop things in the oven on Christmas.

Forgot to say Hello to Darren. I am soooo jealous of him! It won't be long before he will be a cruisin'.

Congratulations Bonnie on the tree still standing;) . I knew you could do it! You are welcome over my house for Christmas. Dinner is at 5:00 P.M. but you can come over any time.

Well I have to see if the sweet potatoes have cooled.

Happy Birthday Big Garry or is it Old Garry now!;) ;) ;)

Toodles  :earsgirl:

Happy Birthday Garry!

Laurie, good luck with that diabetic friendly diet. It's something to get used to (according to my Dad anyway) but worth it.
A belated Happy Anniversary too!

Sandy, yep, let's do lunch after the new year! I'm trying to have my cruise scrapbook done in time, so that I can show it to you, but haven't really touched it since we met for lunch last time!

I need to install a CD burner now. I wanted to have something solid to save my increasing number of digital pictures on. If I seem to drop off the face of the internet, then you'll know I blew it!

I need to cook tomorrow morning then go to Christmas Eve dinner at my Dad and Stepmother's house, so....
Merry Christmas everyone .

Katie wrote this poem for her Grandparents' card, and she asked me to pass it on to all of you.

THE SEASON IS HERE

The season is here with tinsel and lace,
we put up the lights with a holiday face.
Getting ready, is such a joy, for every little girl and boy .
We can’t wait for that magical day,
when we open presents laugh and play.

Merry Christmas LOVE KATIE

Very nice Christmas poem you wrote. Thank you for sharing it and Merry Christmas!!

OH MY GOSH KATIE, THAT WAS SO GOOD. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR SHARING IT. Maybe we can have lunch together before you go back to school. I am missing you and need my Katie fix. Your smile always makes my day.

Garry, you just kill me. You always have a comeback. I think "mom" always liked you best. I live close to Sally and she never offered me any cookies. You are soooo spoiled by all these women. Have a wonderful day tomorrow. Happy Birthday!:bounce: :Pinkbounc

Lori, Ted wants to add a CD burner, also. Maybe next year. Good luck with the installation.

Jeanne, I cook like you. Do all the prep work ahead of time so that you can enjoy your company. Thought the sweet potatoes were going to be put off for awhile. Glad you got that done, too.

Thank you...very nice of you, unlike some OTHER people!

Denine, I thought I would give you a glimpse at what you may find on your doorstep if this is a cookieless Christmas. Works with cats too if you know what I mean! They love Peach Schnapps!

Katie - thank you for sharing your poem. I loved it!

Just needed to share this because it means so much to me. I just got a call form my Dad. He got his letter today approving him for disability. This is a very big deal for all of us. He is a textile employee which is not a very high paying job but has been out of work most of 2002 due to illness. In fact he has been on short term leave at work since Aug. 30. He has prostate cancer that has matestasized (sp?), had a triple bypass 11 years ago, has another blockage now that they are treating with meds since the collateral arteries are helping, pernicious anemia, diabetes, had an abdominal anyerism repaired in February, and he has high blood pressure. Anyway, he is only 61 so he can't retire early because he needs the income and insurance. Without the disability income he would have to wait several more years for social security to kick in. His monthly disability payment will be almost as much as he used to make when working full time. Now we need to check about his insurance since he can't do without it!! When they found the cancer 2 years ago they gave him 3-4 years. I'm glad now he can at least stop worrying about income (at least a little). This is probably the best present he will get this year!!! I can't give him anything that will mean that much!! Thanks for letting me share my news!!

Darren - Merry Christmas Eve since it is there already in England! Hope you have a fantastic cruise. Chat with us from the MAGIC if you get a chance! Let us know how good life is at sea again!

MERRY CHRISTMAS AGAIN EVERYONE!!!

Sue...happy to hear your dad go his disability pay approved. What a shame all those health problems at such a young age. Tons of pixie dust and prayers for him.

Katie! We have a world class poet among us!!! I loved it!

Thank you...very nice of you, unlike some OTHER people!

And who is this comment for Garry!!! LOL! You know I luv ya!

Laurie- How did I miss John's new diagnosis. He should do well with the diet. Watch the carbs! What a shame at this time of year with all the goodies around. Best of luck and wishes to him! You guys can do it! I have faith!

This has been fun. I sure am glad that everyone has been staying in touch. Everyone have a Merry Christmas and be safe through the New Year.

Paul

Hey Garry.... see you aren't alone!!!!

I miss you all! I loved the picture Sue, Paul and Turner... Such a handsome dude! Turner that is! LOL!

See Garry, I pick on all you guys!

Hi everyone! Just checking in! Finally ALL packages are wrapped and I just finished baking a VERY Special Cake! I will decorate it tomorrow morning.

Katie, I loved your poem! You have a wonderful talent! I can't wait to read more!

Susan, glad to hear that your father got such a great gift for this holiday season! I know my father has health problems and I think it would be better if he got early retirement, but he doesn't.

Laurie, my father has diabetes too and he is doing good. They tried with just the diet, but he needed to take the shot of whatever to help it. It isn't easy, but once you get the routine down, it does get easier. I know he'll be fine! Give him a big hug from us and tell he we are all with him! He can do it!

Darren, glad to see you're back! We missed you. Make sure you post while you are on the Magic so we can be with you in spirit!

Jeanne, way to go on the baking and cooking! I wish I was that ahead of the game, but I'll d alright! I'm glad to see that you are posting! I have a picture of you and Bonnie sitting on my desk by the computer at formal night! So everyday I get to see you!

Sally, glad to see that you are looking after Garry! He needs someone to lookout for him (besides me of course). On the reunion cruise, we will have together and you will have to give me some tips on being a "super mom" like you are! Your daughters hardly ever fight anymore! LOL

Paul, glad to see another man is heard from! You will have to pop in more to keep Garry sane from all this girl talk! LOL

Sandy, it was so nice talking to you the other day! It really made me miss the cruise all over again! I am so glad you enjoyed your gifts. Maybe we will have to come over to "break" the glasses and wine markers in! LOL Don't worry, the Big Guy doesn't need one!

Bonnie, I am so glad to hear that your tree has stayed up! I miss chatting with you daily! I KNOW I am missing out on some good things, but I know you will catch your "lil sis" up! I heard that Garry "the boss man" gave you the next two days off! WOW! LOL! You betta make up for it! LOL Show him the money!

Krista, thank you for your e card! It made my night! We will have to start sending pictures back to one another again! I know Makenzie really got a kick out of looking at Clare.

Barb, we got your Christmas card today! Thank you so much! I loved the little drawing of the parrot on the card! Who is the artist?

Patty, come out come out where ever you are! Have a great next couple of days!

IN CASE I MISS SOMEONE ON WEDNESDAY: HAVE A VERY MERRY AND SAFE CHRISTMAS!

I will be looking on the board to see everyone's list of wat Santa got them! HA HA HA HA! LOL just kidding!

Julie, I am sure Garry doesn't need anyone but you to look after him but he is just like all men, they like extra attention.

My girls always was good around Christmas....no fighting, did dishes without complaining, etc.....lol

I still have a couple gifts to wrap and some things to make for dinner tomorrow at Barb's. Then I have to get serious about packing for Disneyworld and the cruise! Not sure what to pack in the way of warm and cool clothes. Think I will do mostly warm as I didn't think the ship was too warm in October.

Sandy, come down anytime and I will make you some cookies.

I loved all the picture cards you sent this year...it helps to put a face with the names on the board since I didn't get to meet very many of you on the cruise. I am going to put them in my cruise scrapbook and title it "Friends I didn't meet"

I didn't get to send everyone a card as I have misplaced my list of addresses. But I wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
