Thanks Julie! Gotta love Jiminy! "Always let your conscience be your guide". What better way to go through life! I actually own the first pic of the ornament and the one of him sitting on a matchbox and of course a few others. I have an Arruba Bros. piece that I adore. I need to get to WDW and buy MORE! I like the second one. Never saw it before. You need more sleep so that you can ward off your sinus infection! Want anymore recipes from me?

Susan, stay on those meds and use them like clockwork! You will be feeling good soon. I get bronchitis all the time and those are the same meds I get. Hope that it isn't leading to asthma!

Sally, hope you are doing better. Can't wait to hear about your trip.

Pixie Dust to all the sick Dads! (Diana's, Susan's and Julie's)

Gosh Lori, don't be so "wordy" next time! :p :p

I can't keep up with you guys!

Darren: I can't believe you had to miss GC!

Sue: I have gotten bronchitis right after bronchitis too many times to count. I have 1 day of ATB's left and I am still coughing and having sinus pain. UGGHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!

Julie: Hopefully we will be able to get together soon!

Sandy: I love getting new furniture!

Yes, it's me -- can you believe it?????

My Dad is doing great! I didn't think he looked very well when we were there BUT 1. he was just 3 weeks out of surgery 2. he started back to work Monday before Christmas and 3. he had 25+ people staying in his house for a week. Of course he would be tired and pale and really quiet.

He had blood work done last week and his CEA (???) - the test that counts cancer cells was NORMAL!!!!!!!!!!!! Penny said he about did a jig around the house!!!!!!! I guess normal is around 4-6 and before his surgery his was around 80 so it's a pretty BIG deal. I know I am showing my medical ignorance -- I really have no clue what I'm talking about!!!

THANKS everyone for your thoughts and prayers -- it appears they are working!

This truly is the first time I've been to the board since we got back - we came back a day late and the next day I was at the ice arena for 5 hours EVERY day for the entire week putting on the tournament. It went very well, the kids (all 128) had a GREAT time, the parents had a great time and I am tired! Tomorrow night is Lianna's 5th birthday party and we've invited her entire class and a friend for Annika and one for Alina - 26 kids. I really should have my head examined!!!!!!!!!!

Alina starts her skiing season Friday night and Ian will snowboard during that time. It will be her 3rd year (yes, she's only 6). I won't let Lianna ski yet - she is just a different person and not ready in my opinion.

Other than that -- it's back to normal. I have NOT gone back and read all the pages and pages of conversation but will try over the next week or so.

I gather Julie's Dad and Susan's Dad are not well? I'm sorry and hope they are ok. Like I said, I'll page back (and back and back and back and back ......) to get caught up.

It's good to be back ----- happy belated New Year eveyone! Just so you know how exciting we are up here - Ian was the only one that stayed up till midnight on New Years! I even turned down a party invitation for the whole family! see, I CAN say no sometimes!

later.......

Diana finally checked in!!!! And my friend Linda, who's husband is into computers, sent me an email!
Happy to hear your dad is doing so well! 3 weeks post op and back to work and 25 guests???? I would look pale too!! How could he get a word in edgewise!

Julie Great clipart!

Darren checked in...Yeah!!!! That's ok about Grand Cayman....very expensive there from what I hear. No word about Palo's though...hmmmm.

Happy Birthday Sally!!!!! Check in with us!!!

Sandy- you may let your conscience be your guide but I believe in the bare necessities the simple bare necessities forget about your worries and your strife...and how much Home Depot is getting and painting ceilings!

Sue- GET BETTER SOON!!!!! Been there done that one year. It is not fun!!! Advair helps keep me on an even keel.

THat's it for now...I may put up my border tonight. Bedroom looked bare after I painted it so now I have a border to put up! Will it ever end!!!!!!!! And yes...paint ceilings!

Got to get to bed but wanted to post one quick thing:

DIANA, thank God your Dad is doing so good. The prayers and pixie dust won't stop though!! Glad you are back!!

Oh yeah, and a BIG HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Lianna!!!

I am beat, had 15 over for a meeting and dinner tonight, and it flopped. I can actually say that in my 35 short years, this is the only dinner party I would call a flop. Everyone loved it but I didn't. I did 2 frozen lean cuisine lasagnes, salad, bread and cookies. The lasagnes were still cold in the middle after 2+ hours of cooking, the salad was good but for some reason my homemade ranch had lumpy mayonnaise in it. My cheesy garlic bread wasn't melted all the way through because of the da*% lasagne.
David swore I could have a double oven and a new house after this one. Yippeee. I guess homemade all the way is the only way for me, it never is cold at least.

Darren: Thanks for checking in. GC is one of my very favorite places on earth and I am sad you didn't get to enjoy it.

Sue: Yuck, get better.

Dianna: Welcome back, Happy Happy Lianna, and yes have your head examined. Glad your dad is doing jigs these days.

Sandy: Have you seen the new Pinnochio? I took Clare this weekend and it was different and good.

Bye all, too tired,
Krista

Sally: Happy happy to you as well.

Bonnie: Well, really aiming to impress are we?

Julie: I am jealous, when is my kitchen coming?

Denine: How is the precious one? I am sorry you are still feeling poorly.

I can't believe a dinner party of yours flopped!!!! All that matters is the company and conversation. Food is just the icing on the cake and you can have cake without icing. Wow...I'm getting quite introspective here aren't I?

And I forgot also... Happy Birthday Lianna!!!!! I really have to look at that list! LOL!

Good night all!!!!!!!!!!

It just dawned on me that I no longer have my morning coffee buddy joining me each morning!!! Of course at this time I understand Sue, with you not feeling we again. But when you are all better....

Since I was tht last on yesterday and now the first on this morning I am at a loss for words!!!

Have a good day all! Many of you are slipping on your correspondence here!!!!!!!!!!!

By the way Diana-just in case you don't read all the posts I was ready to send out my Mountie to look for you!!

Have a good day all!

Anybody want to bet that Bonnie won't paint her ceilings? I guess I understand her reasoning. Baloo has something to do with it I am afraid.

Diana, WELCOME back. We were all a little concerned but we know with your reputation that you probably overextended yourself. I can't believe all that you do and get DONE! So glad that your dad is doing so good!:D

Poor, poor, Susan!

Krista, your dinner probably wasn't that bad. I think that as cooks we tend to over criticize ourselves. I am sure it was fine. What a way to get a double oven! No, I haven't seen the new Pinocchio yet. Believe it or not, it is not one of my favorites. I just love Jiminy from it.

Julie, I just redid my kitchen about 2 years ago. Make sure that it gets completely done! I let Ted off the hook and now I am begging to get the final touches done. I told him that it had to be done by the girls graduation in May.

I am getting a little envious of you right now, Denine. I am sure that you are doing the last minute rush though and that is not fun. Especially with a baby!

ok - I'm up to the top of page 81. whew!!!!!! Haven't gotten to the kitchen part yet BUT we just redid our entire kitchen last Jan. Had to put in new walls as the old cupboards tore up the drywall when we removed them. New floor, new ceiling, the whole shebang! It was fun. I designed the whole thing and subcontracted the work myself. Found a wonderful custom cabinet guy too. Couldn't be happier. Guess I'll take a picture and post it.

When we lived in the Cleveland area I painted my kitchen ceiling bright yellow! It was fabulous!!!!!!!!!

I had 1.5 hours to myself today - NO kids at all and what did I do? Read your posts!!!!!!!!

Better go get the kids now. Have to icing the cupcakes when we get home and then to the party place by 5:15.

Have a great day all!

Trying to get used to night shift again. Also, as luck would have it, I strained my lower back the other day snowblowing driveways, apparently when I lifted the snowblower out of the car. It looks like 2003 is going to pick up where 2002 left off as far as maladies go.

Anyways, Happy Birthday (belated) to Sally and hope everyone who is under the weather is doing better.

Ah, to be in Darren's shoes now on the cruise...oh well.

Talk to everyone later.

P.S. -- Ted, still waiting for a topic!

Diana comes back and everyone leaves???? I would get a complex if I were you Diana!

Busy day at work...trained all day...nurses on computers!!!!! They were not made for each other believe me!!

OK Lori, Laurie, Julie, Garry, Jeanne, Joyce, Mom, Barb, Patti alias Patty, Ted...who did I forget? Sue is excused due to illness. Where are you!!!!!!!!!!

I am having a terrible time getting on the boards. My computer keeps telling me the boards are being serviced for 20 minutes. Bonnie tells me there is something wrong with my "cookies". Whatever that means. I will try to catch up tomorrow at work. It won't even let me read the most recent postings.

My son DID get accepted to the Police Academy and starts January 27th until July 3rd. Of course, we are leaving for the Poconos skiing January 26th. At least I have a doggie sitter now.

Just wanted to let you know I am alive after my three days of Christmas decoration removal. Miss you all!!!!!!

One more time....... GO E A G L E S:bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

Toodles:wave: :earsgirl: Jeanne Russian-Wolf

I hadn't thought about it BUT should I be getting a complex? It does seem to be quiet now that I have returned!!!! ok - what DID I say????????????????????

Party is over -- only had 22 kids -- it was fun but CCRRRAAAAZZZZYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Boy, can those 5 year olds get WILD!!!!!!!!!!!!! (My kids are very none wild ones so it's always a shock to me!).

Taking my headache and swollen throat glands to bed now. If I promise not to check in for a while will everyone return???? ;) ;)

Don't ever stay away again! If you read all the old posts I was truely getting concerned along with everyone else!!!

Where is everyone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm off to bed now!

Ask me if I painted the ceilings??? LOL!

Ok...I wake up and nobody has posted!!!

I am officially on strike!!!! No posts from me until we hear from everyone!!!

Have a good day all!!!

Diana -- I am not sure that I follow all of the medical jargon but it sounds like good news!! :bounce: :bounce: I am glad that everything seems to be working out.

Garry -- Getting much sleep with that kitchen remodeling??? Just think, remodeled kitchen -- happy wife -- eating some of Denine's cookies in your new kitchen -- Julie trying out some of Krista's recipes in your new kitchen -- As Martha Stewart would say, "It's a good thing." :p

Lori -- I will try again to get ahold of you before you see Mamma Mia on Saturday. YOU ARE NEVER HOME!! Some of the hangups on your machine are me!! ;)

Have a great day everyone!!

--- Laurie

Oh my gosh, where is everyone? What a shocker to read about a half a page. See, Bonnie still hasn't painted the ceilings. She is all talk! Bonnie, on strike from the board???? Nah, don't think so!

Diana, don't believe that you caused the slow down of postings! We have been going through this off and on. We just have to be in the on postition right now.

So sorry Garry about your back! Pixie dust your way! Just send the snow our way. We are so dry that it would be nice to have the storm of a century.

Wow, Laurie, checked in. What's new??? Now if the other Lori checks in I will fall over!

Thinking of all you sickies and hope everyone is getting better.

Congratulations to Jeanne's son. :bounce: :Pinkbounc Yea, he made it to the Police Academy!!!! :bounce: :Pinkbounc
