We had Joyce's Birthday Party at work today & thank God we were slow. The next line that will be typed will be from Joyce.
Since we can't count on her being able to get on the boards.

Hi everyone, Yes it is me Dudette #3. I hope everyone had a great Christmas and a healthy New Year. I just celebrated another birthday, gosh it is depressing. Considering the alternative I guess another birthday is ok. My family celebrates nine birthdays the month of December. We just have one large party. We are all broke by January. One of my New Year resolutions is to be a better friend to the computer. Take care you all! Joyce......

I thought for sure the Browns were going to win!!! I am so sorry. I stopped painting just to watch the last quarter.

Called Joyce at work to sing happy belated birthday. She did promise to visit more...we'll see.

What happened to the Browns??? They made it to field goal range but time was an enemy!! I did pull for them Julie and Garry. I promise.

Just checking in real quick. My Dad is here so I can't be too unsociable. We're about to have dinner and I feel real bad eating in front of my Dad who can only have clear liquids today!

Hope that was Darren you saw, Krista.

Jeanne, thanks for letting Joyce check in under your login. Tell her it was great to hear (see) her words!!

Later!!

Driving home should be fun in the Jeep Renegade Liberty since the one inch of snow they predicted turned out to be more like three inches!

I reoriented Joyce to the DisBoards again. We shall see.....

Sorry about those BROWNS but at least we won't be ememies..

Hope you all have a great night. Tomorrow is the start of Christmas decoration removal. It usually takes about three days to get the house in post-Christmas order. I will stop by on the boards tomorrow.

Toodles
 :earsgirl: Jeanne

ONE MORE TIME - GO EAGLES:bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

OK, Jeanne. I'll pull for the Eagles for you. You have certainly been consistent. Be careful in that snow. I don't dare sy we don't ever get it here. The last time I did we had the ice storm from HE@%!!!!

Hopefully, we'll have Joyce back again!!

Going to bed early. Have to be up at 4:30 to take my Dad for his tests tomorrow.

Hi all. Wow, 5 pages and I was only gone for 3 days! Had some great snowboarding! The kids ditched their boards in favor of ski's Friday so that they could keep up with the family. We had a great day with my parents. Then Cody and Ben Boarded Sat and I got Sunday (today) all to MYSELF. I had the greatest day! (shhh, don't tell Ben)
Katie and I went to My Big Fat Greek Wedding Saturday since her ankle was a little sore. That was a nice girlie activity for us. I want to take Katie to Momma Mia with me SO BAD and she wants to go too. Ugg. There were only 3 tickets and they've been claimed. I wonder if it will keep coming around?

That would be such a trip to see Darren on a web cam!

School starts back tomorrow. Boo hoo. You'd think I'd be glad the kids are going back to school again but we've really had a great time, AND, I HATE homework SO bad!!! I hate pushing them thru their homework more than I hated my own homework as a kid!

Enough whining, I need to get some sleep, tomorrow's calendar is stuffed! Nice to see you all! ~Lori

Well, what can I say? It's the same old thing! The Browns get you so high, then cut you off at the knees. Oh well as we ALWAYS say......Next year. We are so disgusted over the out come here.......let's just say there is NO HAPPINESS HERE!!!!!!!!!!

Laurie, you might not want to share this next part with John........

Another not so good new..........my father was taken to the hospital and was admitted tonight. My mother called around 6:30 and said that she was taking him to the hospital. You see he has diabetes (the kind in which he takes a shot of insulin twice a day) and about 7 years ago he got a blister on his one big toe. Needless to say, it didn't heal and got worst so he had part of his left foot removed. Well, lately he got a blister on the heal of that foot that had some dead skin around it so the doctor trimmed the skin away. BUT this time (he has had that happen before) blood formed under the skin, became a nice size and "exploded" under the skin. His doctor was called on Thursday but couldn't see him until tomorrow so he called a prescription for an antibiotic and told him to stay COMPLETELY off it, which he did. Well today (during the Browns upset) he was in a lot of pain and noticed a red line from his foot going up his leg......not good. So one of my parents friends who is a nurse came down and looked at it and said get to the hospital NOW. SO, he is there and the specialist will be in tomorrow. They think the rest of his foot will have to be removed (hopefully not the leg). But only time will tell. He had been given 3 bags of antibiotics (at least that what I think it was) from the time he went in to 9:45pm when my mother called from home. There is nothing we can do but wait. The only thing that REALLY bothers me is that my dad keeps talking about wanting to be cremated and that the one funeral home has a special showing ... blah blah blah.
I'm sorry this is so gloomy but I had to tell someone, and who better to tell the my disney family. I didn't mean to drag anyone down by this, sorry.

Lori, glad to se hat you had a nice weekend with your family! One of these days I'm gonna see My Big Fat Greek Wedding. We tried on the cruise ship, but everytime we tried something came up and we had to scratch it.

Hey Bonnie, how was Home Depot?

Happy Belated Birthday Joyce!

Just wantd to say goodnight or should I say goodmorning! I know Sue will be getting up in 15 minutes. I'll probably still be up but just not on the computer.

See you all later today!

I love the Baloo clipart! Thankyou sooooo much!! Get my day started off right!

Home Depot loves me!! I have helped their stock greatly this last few weeks! Bedroom painted...well at least the walls. I still have the trom and of course...The Ceiling!!! Anyone want to come paint my ceilings? LOL!

What ever happened to Sandy yesterday? No word from her at all! That isn't like her!

Lori...You were missed...did you tell us you were going away and I missed it? You know how I worry about all.

Barb and Diana- Please don't say we lost you!!!!!!!!!!!! Please check in. And Mom should be home soon. I hope she had a good time.

Have a good day all! See you tonight.

Julie -- I hope that everything is ok with your dad. I am going to fill John in about it. He needs to be reminded about how seriously diabetes should be taken. He has decided just to do the Atkins diet -- low carbs, etc. I don't know if this is a good idea or not. It is not really a "lifestyle change" -- just a diet!! But I don't want to be put into the situation of being the nag, so I told him to make sure that he tells the dietician when he sees her this Wednesday and put the ball in her court!!

The snow that was coming down furiously yesterday melted and has now turned to ICE!! So, getting to work was like driving on a slip 'n slide this morning. I work at a high school and there were lots of sad faces this morning.....not ready to be back in school!

Sue -- I hope that everything goes well with your dad!! We will be thinking of you.

Bonnie -- Should we be buying stock in HOME DEPOT :p ?????

Have a great day!!
--- Laurie

Hello Everyone!!!

I am so so so so sorry for not posting before now. You guys are wonderful!! You make me feel special when I read the post and see I am missed!

This weekend Jason flew back to Georgia his Christmas break is over. He is going to Korea in May :( I will miss him so much. He is giving his car to Jaymee so she is excited!

Jaymee is planning on getting married Oct 2004 we are going to see if we can have the wedding at Disney World the day before the reunion cruise. So keep that in mind when you are making plans for the reunion cruise. Since Patty and her entire family will be there we figured it would be a good time.

Julie- I will keep your Dad in my prayers! Keep us posted!!

Happy Belated Birthday Joyce!!

Not sure where Patty is.

Bonnie- You are the greatest!!

Where is the date of Oct 19 for the reunion cruise coming from??
I am showing the Western leaves on Oct 29 or the 23

Julie: sorry to hear about your dad! My mom is diabetic and takes insulin. So far, she has been lucky.

I told Jerry he should buy an Ohio state shirt so he could have something with an Ohio team that says champion on it. The Browns and the Indian's won't do it. We even watched the games and I hate football!!!!!

The Christmas decorations are down and put away and the suitcases are out. We just have last minute stuff to buy, like sandwich meat and cheese for lunch on the way down. I can't wait to get out of the snow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have to work this weekend and then we leave as soon as I get home on Sunday.

Jerry should be home soon and I have to start dinner and feed my 2 cats that are begging for food.

Hi guys, I'm back from a busy weekend. Ended up buying a living room set. There is a long story to it but we were at the furniture store four times. We ordered a couch thinking that it would match existing lazyboy recliners but it didn't. Non returnable- shoot. So---we bought a matching loveseat. They are being made and will be delivered around March 1st. Can't wait. My dear hubby even was looking at curio cabinets. How sweet!

My gosh Bonnie-just paint the ceiling and get it over. When we talked on the phone a few days ago that is what you were going to do NEXT! I am proud of you for getting rid of your clothes. I kept mine thinking I could have "fat" clothes and "skinny" clothes. I just don't think that I will ever see size 10 again. I hope to but don't think so. Thanks for worrying about me not posting. Just didn't have ANY free time and I mean NONE!

Way to go Joyce. Glad you checked in. Hope we see you on again real soon. And-happy belated birthday! Glad Jeanne saved some computer time for you.

I want what Krista had. Her post that night was so funny. Spelling and all. Glad that you didn't "pay" for it the next day!

Lori, I was one of those unusual mom's that would cry when the kids went back to school in the fall and it was hard after the holidays. Glad that you had a good time. By the way, ground turkey worked great for the jerky. Absolutely great.

Julie, sorry about your dad. It has to be hard! Like I said, I live it everyday with my mom.

Laurie, I think that you handled the diet thing with John the right way. Let the dietician be the bad guy. Not you.

Susan, you are certainly back to being your chatty self. Happy to see that!

Jeanne, it was Jonathan Livingston Seagull. Did you ever see that movie? Bonnie had never even heard of it. They say that Neil starred in it but you never saw his face. I loved it.

Heidi called from Mexico and she has broken out in a rash and/or hives. She thinks that she is allergic to something in the ocean. How sad. She loves the ocean! But-it isn't keeping her out of the water!

Garry, nice to have you back. Was wondering what happened to you. Gotta go type some recipes for your lovely wife.

See ya!

Heidi's rash could be sea lice or sea itch.
I get it really badly.
There are several products out for that. Look on the cruise site, there was a highlighted thread on it for a long time.

Whooppeee, new furniture. Cool.

Yes, I have recovered my brain and my typing skills. Drying out for the week at least.

Krista

PS Where's Darren, and did we ever find the link to his website?

Krista, I didn't even think about sea lice. I got it last January and boy does it ITCH! Thanks so much for the idea. I kind of feel responsible for the thread about sea lice as I brought it up and then everyone got psyched. I know there is a cream to prevent but not sure to cure. Great thinking! Obviously, you are back on track and thinking straight again.

I really am excited for the new furniture. Ted told me that I couldn't have new furniture until I quit babysitting for my friend twice a week. Actually our 22 year olds are harder on it than the 4 year old.

I forgot about Darren's site. I will look to see if I put it in my favorites.

Krista, I sent you an email with Darren's site. If anyone can give me instructions on how to post a link, I would be indebted. Thanks!

Sandy just e-mailed me Darren's site it is
Darren's Site

Hope that works.

Hey, can anyone help me with my countdown timer. I copied and pasted the old one, added my new info. and all that comes up is code.Hmmmm

Krista
