I was just in a car accident. Boy, am I getting sore from the seatbelt connection. An 80 year old lady pulled out in front of me. It was definitely her fault but the cop said I had two choices. One was for him to ticket her right there on the spot or for the two of us to go down to the substation and file a report. She would not get a ticket that way. I chose the latter. She was a wonderful lady and accidents do happen. I drive a Suburban so all that got damaged was my rubber bumper pads (scratched), license plate crumpled and a few scratches on my bumper. I folded in her right front fender pretty good. Thank goodness neither one of us was going fast. The cop told me after her SIL picked her up that I chose the right path because more than likely she would have lost her license. (no previous on her either) The accident was not caused by age just an accident in my opinion. The cop and I "bonded". We stood around and talked for 1 hour after she left. From schools, police work, retirement whatever. He was really cool. He said that he wished more were like me.

Darren, I will cross my fingers for you. Hope those prices come down or at least DU may have already made the ressies for you. They have always had a stateroom on reserve for me before I make the final decision.

Denine, you can't use your cat to open the gift early. Too bad!

Barb, glad your tooth extraction went ok. My dd's boyfriends sister was at cheerleading competition. They are from Dakota Ridge in Littleton. How did Jaymee do? Not sure how Dakota Ridge did.

Sandy, thank goodness you are ok. You are a nice person...I have seen people that cause accidents stand and yell at the one they hit and you were hit and was nice. I hope the lady appreciates what a nice lady you are.

Sandy-I hope you are all right! Be very careful, the seatbelt that goes across the chest can cause a cardiac contussion so take it easy! You are a VERY kind person. I think you could bond with anyone!

Krista-I love the card and picture and sentiments! Ditto here. I got some of the pictures from WDW. I still have one roll in my camera but from all the rain the LCD readout no longer works so I don't know how many are left. I will make up my Christmas cards tonight to send.

Sandy -- Thank God you are alright!! I think that you did the right thing by going down to the station......the cute little lady didn't get a ticket....and you got to "bond" with the officer!! You always seem to be able to put such a positive spin on things.....

Bonnie -- I am sitting here next to a beautifully lit, but undecorated tree. I did manage to get most of my gifts wrapped tonight though!!

Darren -- Thanks for the card! Kristen was thrilled to have received one from out of the country.....she can't wait to tell her teacher......I think she is looking for the possibility to count it as extra credit for "international studies"

7 - Bonnie, I was moving slow this morning so I didn't check in for coffee. It may take me a few days to get back in the groove! I did think about you but just couldn't make the time this morning.

Just a small bit of information, thought you might be interested, but not sure if you will be...

I'M BOOKED!!!

YES!!!! I'VE JUST BOOKED THE CRUISE!!!!

I got my quote back from Dreams Unlimited and was told that unfortunatly there was no more availability for the catagory 11 special but that they had waitlisted me, they quoted me a price of $1933.77 ($1883.77 with rebate) for a catagory 12. At that point I felt the walls caving in and I thought it was all over, no cruise! I then checked expedia and their price had gone up to over $2000.

BUT THEN... I though i'd check disneycruise.com just to console myself as I had checked it last night and it was showing a price of over $2000. I went into reservations, picked the cruise as usual and I couldn't believe it, there it was Catagory 11 for just over $1000 including ground transfers, single supp and all taxes. Well I got so excited I could hardly move!!

So I booked it as quickly as possible!!!!

Oh, I just can't believe it, I'm on my way, I just need to find a flight now. I have got to call DCL to tell them when my flight will be so they know when I want my ground transportation, I also have to get them to add my castaway club number to reservation so I can get my benefits (I couldn't add it when I booked as I don't yet know my number!!!)

Well I don't know my stateroom number yet as I'm GTY status (what do you think, any chance of an upgrade! I suppose it's unlikely!).

Oh, I'm soooooo excited!!!

CHEERLEADERS! There was a cheerleading competition in WDW while we were there. Young cheerleaders all over the place. They were really cute - all dressed alike, singing cheers, etc.

Can't stay on the computer too long becauseI have an "Errand List" to do - leave off castle, buy veg. tray for son, stamps for daughter, get film developed, & so on & so on ...

Garry: My son was interviewed by Gloucester Twp. Police yesterday (on his 22nd birthday). He scored well on Civil Service & they will be hiring two new officers. Should I tell him to go for it or not?

Good morning everyone. A little stiff and sore today. I guess Jeanne was right.


I AM SO HAPPY FOR YOU DARREN !!!! Your persistance paid off. What are the dates for the cruise again? If I remember right, it is like Jan 2 or so. I was remembering that it was the same time we set sail last year. Hope you have terrific weather. Have you figured out where you are going to stay BEFORE the cruise?

Barb, the cop told me that in CO my insurance pays for injuries not hers. They called last night and would like me not to turn it into the insurance co. The want to pay cash. We aren't even sure we want to do anything because nothing major is done. We are going to check out bumpers and prices. It is just scratches. The license plate holder is bent in and the pads are all scratched. My seatbelt broke but Ted was able to fix it. I guess that's why I hurt. I must have somehow slammed into it and broke it. But it stayed clipped during the accident.

I want cookies. I want cookies. I love cookies and I don't bake so much anymore with the girls as old as they are. You guys and all your baking makes my mouth water.

Bonnie, I feel like you do. I think we all have made good friends for life and I think we know we will be there for anyone if they ever need help. Now that isn't sappy is it?

Time for my little ones so will close. Thinking of Darren and know that he is doing a happy dance!!!!!

I will fly out from London - Orlando. I've been having fun today trying to decide who to fly with! The direct flight with Virgin Atlantic isn't too expensive but after searching around I've found a great price with American Airways which is £70 ($110) cheaper, it does mean I have to fly via New York (JFK) and I won't arrive into Orlando until 9pm (rather than 5pm) but that doens't really matter to me, and it leaves from London Heathrow which is closer to my home than London Gatwick (were Virgin flights go from).

Also I'm an AAdvantage member so I can earn some more miles.

I've found a great rate for the Hyatt MCO (the one inside the terminal!) £67 for the night, and this would be paid for by the money I save on the flight!!! It means no hassle, when I land I'll be at the hotel and when I wake up in the morning I can walk to the DCL Bus!!! No shuttle to get!

ALSO... I rang the Castaway Club today and they were very helpful, oh it was so exciting ringing the number and getting the recorded message made by the guy who does the monorail spiel!! saying "Thankyou for calling Disney Cruise Lines Castaway Club!".

I now know my castaway club number and it has been added to my reservation! The lady I spoke to said I would get a Towel and Pins in my stateroom, An invitation to attend the Castaway Club reception with the captain and senior officers, Get to use the special Castaway Club check-in and get special recognition from all cast members for being a repeat cruiser. Oh it sounds great!

Susan - Looked for flights via Charlotte but no luck, US Air flight were so expensive, It's such a shame.

Darren. Yee HAW (That's Coloradoain for "Oh bully, good show") Have a BLAST man. That detailed itinerary has me drooling. But ... be sure and WASH your Hands often, take lots of Vitamin C and Echinacea, wear gloves when using hand rails..... Well, just have FUN.
