Okay I am kind of up to date. :rotfl:

This will be our 6th Dcl cruise we are on the DVC member cruise Sept 4th of this year, Lisa (Disneylover5) I think you are leaving the Wonder the morning we get on for that cruise. Right now it is just my wife Coleen and I but we have friends Dale and Karen who are thinking about booking with us. We are doing late dining so far. We have never tried it and waitlisted for early but after talking about it we may stay late. Less rushing to get back iin time to get dressed up etc. Looking forward to getting to know more Dis members and future friends. We have met such Wonderful people on most of our cruises and stay in touch with quite a few.

Hi Scott glad to meet another ParrotHead. pirate: We usually go to JB concerts every year here in the Chicago area BUT this year it is on the weekend we are on the DVC member cruise AND it is at Wrigley Field. ( Read that $$$$$$) Anyway we plan on going to the Margaritaville in Key West while there . That and Pirate night on the cruise will have to suffice this year.

Good Morning All - Just talking about Pirate night brings back great memories of the fireworks at sea.

Hi Guys, Paul Here:

Have'nt been to a Pirate Night yet. I hear they are a blast!! Looking forward to it. Never have seen fireworks from a ship like this. And for you Parrot Heads on this trip, I like JB too but I don't get too much of an opportunity to listen to his music.
Squid:
Heard about the concerts too. I live in Streamwood. Have been to 1 JB concert in my life & I have to admit it was great!!
Maybe DW & I could hook up with you guys for a drink on Pirate Night.
See evryone later!!

Paul

Sounds Good! We will plan on it.

Good morning everyone... Does anyone know how I might go about trying to swap cabins? We have 2 cat. 9 deck 2 rooms booked and we DESPERATELY need connecting (travelling with DD5,DS8 and DS10). We (DH and I) do not want to have to split up because we rea not in connecting rooms. We do have 2604 on hold and are just hoping that 2602 opens up. I was wondering if anyone knows any tricks to find out if 2602 is really already sold or just "held" . Thanks Tracey :flower: :wave2:

contact the cruise line directly and see what they can do for you , BUT dont tell them you want to stay in one room and the kids in another they may not like that.

Good Morning All - Another week closer! We are travelling in a group of 7 and getting ready to start negotiating the shore excursions.

Morning Everyone!

DH and I are talking about Palo's and if we want to dinner there this time. Actually last time we went, DH got food poisoning from what can only be the appetizer that I wouldn't eat. He missed Castaway cause they had him on cabin restriction. That sucked...so, I'm not all that thrilled about going back for dinner, but he is ...go figure. I do want to try brunch this time though, we have never been able to do that and everyone says how great it is. I'm also thinking about the Romance Plan, or the Romantic Escape at Sea...has anyone done either, and which is a better value? One perk is it lets you book resies further out...I don't think we are doing the vow renewal this time, cost is high for what you get, and we are just too small a group to make it worth it.

They keep playing Pirates with Johnny Depp on cable, so we are watching for ideas for pirate night...too funny. I don't want to waste too much room in the suitcase for this one night though so I'm not sure how crazy I really want to go.

I found that my girlfriend's daughter is going to be working the cruise when we are on this time. She is one of the characters and a dancer. She was on last year, liked it so much, that she reapplied for this year. She is in Toronto right now learning the new dances for the new shows. It has been really fun seeing the pics that people post of their cruise, and finding a pic of her...I forward them all to my friend. I'm working on my friend to come on this cruise with us, that would be fun, and her son is the same age as my little one.

That is neat you know a cast member. We have never had dinner at Palo's. Too much fun at dinner! Brunch is nice. We have also done afternoon tea (at Palo's, not tea with Wendy) and that was fun.

Sue

We have talked about doing brunch too. Does anyone have the details of what days etc?
Thanks

Last year we were finishing brunch as we docked in KW, Sunday am. I can't find my navigators from that cruise but I think Monday and Thursday were our sea days and Palo's was open for brunch.

I have been missing for a long while, I have been way to busy this summer. My DH, DS16 (I can't believe I have a 16 year old), DD11 and DD9 are getting ready to leave for Disney on Sunday (YES! :cool1: :cool1: this Sunday) then on Thursday we board the Wonder for a quick 3 day before school starts.

Our group is about 70 now for this January cruise....it will be so much fun.

We went on the Western last year same time....Grand Caymen was pretty well destroyed by the hurricanes, but we went to a beach and had a wonderful time. The water was warm and the beach was beautiful. The kids and their dad rented jet skis. On Cozumel, we swam with the dolphins and then hang out at the beach there....it was fun as well....

Oh well, I will post from the Wonder, not the same as the Magic, but it will give me my fix till January!

Lisa

Good Morning - Lisa, that is a lot of folks. Did your church do this as a fund raiser? just fellowship?
