I can't wait for this cruise, is going to be a blast. I already have pin pointed stuff to do even at Nassau, we are venturing out and going to the Fish Fry and running around exploring the island.

I think we will skip Palo this time around and just enjoy all the dining rooms.

Today after work I am leaving for WDW on a weekend getaway, I need it, was out of town on location yesterday and Tuesday on a shoot and I am ready for some fun!!!

What is the Fish Fry?

I was looking through travel websites for authentic Nassau food, and people keep recommending the Fish Fry, it sounds like several local restaurants serving local fare in one location. I want to try conch fritters and stuff like that, so I think DH and I will rent a car and take off on that general direction.

lets talk cruise folks !!!!! Whats everyones plans for the trip? me and Denver and Mary are flying in the night before then we r staying at a disney hotel that night then cruise then the day we get back from the cruise we r going to go to disneyworld overnight at the hotel again and out on a flight back to cali the next morning whats everyone else doing?

6 months and 1 day to go. We are staying at Disney world for 10 nights before the cruise, at Kidani Village, then we have 1 night at bay lake Towers after the cruise. This time in 6 months we will be looking forward to our last day at Disney world before leaving for the cruise - personally, I am already so excited I could burst. God knows what I'll be like in 6 months

We are flying down on Tuesday. We plan on staying at one of the resorts in WDW, have not decided yet on which one, maybe use points at the Hilton in Downtown Disney. We are going to the Halloween Party on Tuesday night and one park on Wednesday. I am torn over which park, HS or Epcot. I have not done American Idol or Toy Story Mania, but I do love Epcot.

We have our transfers secured to get to port.

Has anyone used Disney transportation to port? I am a little confused on how it works. Can you stay offsite and still get transportation?

I am really excited as well.

We are driving down Wednesday morning, going to DTD for the day and then driving to Port Canaveral and staying at the Radisson. We'll get up Thursday morning and take the Radisson shuttle to the terminal and hopefully get an early boarding #. I'm so excited!! I don't know what we'll do as far as excursions in Nassau...maybe just go to the straw market and do a bit of shopping. We did the Atlantis aquarium last time and enjoyed it, so we may just spend more time on the ship this time since it's only a 3 night. Not sure what we'll do on CC this time.

Once we get off the ship, we'll swing by DTD once more to pick up things we missed b4 the trip and then head home. It's a little less than 7 hours to drive, so we'll be home the same day we get off the ship (that part kind of stinks, but work calls!) .

Hi all, I just found this site and I love it! I can't wait to meet all of you on the cruise. I am cruising with my Mom and 2 kids dd (12) and ds (8) I think we might want to be in on the FE as well but I'm not sure of my room number yet. Are all the cabin doors metal for magnets? I've never been on a Disney Cruise before but we always decorate our room windows when we stay on property at Disney. It would be so neat to have the convience of magnets. Hi Terri and welcome to both the DIS and the cruise boards. This is a great site. Yes, as far as I know the cabin doors are metal - we are going to be making some magnets ofr our doors. There is a guy on here who does graphics for DCL magnets with names on. I will add you to the FE exchange. Don't worry about not having your cabin number yet, there are a few of us who haven't yet got theirs. We will be having a DIS meet on board as well, if you fancy it

hey everyone ok lets talk transportation !!!! so i herd DCL busses to the port only go from like 3 hotels forgot what they are now but i can call tomorrow and get the info as far as the person staying at the radison ( sorry would have to go back and reqad who it is ) by the port whats the deal there is it in cocoa beach ? is the shuttle free hmmm this might be a good option for us too I am booked with DCL transport but technically since im sight impared i have the option to use orlandos para transit system on a visitors pass if i could get paratransit to cocoa beach and stay at the radison before and the shuttle from there is free or little charge i just might do that got me thinking !!!!! well also i wanted to ask the halloween party thing ... whats that and where is it ? we r coming a day early to do the parks but maybe we will come 2 days early instead and get in on the fun !
10 days before the cruise WOO HOO how fun hey did you guys hear disney is moving a ship permanently to the california coast in LA ? they will most likely do it in 2011 with the mex rivera as an itenery ...wonder if they will bring the wonder to LA make the magic the new wonder in orlando and then introduce the new ship thats doing the europe cruises as the new magic what do you all think ???? just throwin out some chat topics

I have no idea where the DCL buses go, we normally drive ourselves after staying the night at Pop.

The Wonder is actually the one leaving us to go to LA, so I am very happy I'll get to sail on it at least once. I really can't wait for the Disney Dream and Fantasy, DH and I have already decided we def want to go on the maiden voyage of at least one of them.

I soooo can't wait for this cruise, I think I'll take off a whole week and go to WDW first, I'll see what DH thinks of that plan

The Halloween Party is at the Magic Kingdom. It is a separate ticket event. We have been to 3. We LOVE it. I hope we still love it, since Ashley is older BUT I guess this time she will be more interested in rides than in characters. The characters dress up in costumes, they give candy out. Most of the attractions are open. They have a special fireworks, (amazing) 360º around the entire park. The wicked queen starts the fireworks instead of Tinkerbell. A special parade, with different floats. This is one of my favorite things to do at WDW. Hope this helps, you can find more info on wdwig.com.
