I've heard that when you role is no longer listed on the WDW CP website, you have been assigned a location. I don't remember ever seeing my role listed on the website.. Where should I check to see if it's still listed there or if it's gone?

[I'm not interested in finding out my location early.. Just want to know if my role is still listed.]

Thanks! :]

The role is listed on the left side of the page on the website

I do not have a role listed on that page either, and never have. Like you, I have only an applicant number and arrival/departure dates.

Does anyone have roles listed on that page presently?

Yes, all of this info is in the bottom left of the page in the Arrival Information box. Ever since I accepted I've had Role:Merchandise listed in it but I just checked again and like yours it has disappeared. I've also heard that once it disappears that means that you've been assigned a location. On the other hand, I've also heard that you can get assigned a location multiple times before you officially check-in so this only means that they're thinking about us and they essentially almost know where we'll be. :thumbsup2

Unless the process has changed... the CP office assigns your area when you pay your fee. Then a couple weeks before you check-in, the area will assign your location (not related to the CP office at all).

Example:

CP offers me Attractions.
I accept and pay fee.
CP thinks I'd be good as a Jungle Cruise skipper and places me in Adventureland.
Two weeks before I arrive, Adventureland looks at labor and has openings at Pirates of the Caribbean so that's where I get placed.

I'm not sure how your role assignment would be related to the CP website, as those are different people doing the work.

That also explains why when you check in for your CP they'll only tell you your area "Adventureland." They do not know anything more than that.

It's not until your park orientation that you find out your exact location.

Of course... there are exceptions. Sometimes the area is the same as the location. For example: World of Disney. It doesn't break down anymore than that, so that's your area and location and you get that info when you check in!
