Musing to myself as to whether I think the combination of the two might spark increased interest in stays at AKV at the 7-month mark. For those of you who do not have AKV as your home resort, do you foresee having any increased interest in staying at AKV, or is it still too far away from where the bulk of the 'action' is?

I personally don't think it will affect the reservations at the resort itself but I do anticipate more in the way of crowds at the park.

I agree. If AKL had direct access to AK via walking path it would be different, but since AKL resort guests have to ride a bus to AK the same as to the other parks, there's no real advantage to staying at AKL other than a shorter bus ride.

The additon of new lands or attractions at a park has in the past led to some increase in the attendance at the park and the demand for rooms at the DVC resorts but such increased demand has generally been evenly distributed among the resorts regardless of location of the new land or attraction.

I think the addition of both will make the park busier. I don't know that it will impact the resort much. If you could walk from the resort to the park, I believe it would. But as long as you have to take a bus being at AKL is not much better than being at any other resort.
