ROL? Latest news? Rumor?

We are arriving nov 12-19th. Keep hoping for news on ROL, but getting none. I'm sure nothing will happen while I'm there, that is just the way my luck goes. If anyone has any news, good or bad, I'm interested. If it isn't going to happen while I'm there, I'll live through it but I don't want to keep trying to hit it while we are there, would rather just move on and do other things!!!! Thanks, Dena

We are pretty much locked into our schedule with FP+ and ADRs, will be checking for perhaps a soft opening when we are there but are not expecting one.

we are going to do the Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM show at HS and the Christmas Tree Walk at DS so a couple of new Holiday things in the evening

Thank you, your plans sound a lot like ours, but am still hoping. We won't be back for quite awhile so I was just hoping for it. My youngest DD is in Japan and will be for awhile so my extra $$ (if there really is such a thing) will be spend for airfare there. Thanks for the info!!!

I think the latest is it'll be that weekend(during destination d) with maybe an 18th soft opening. destination d is also doing a park thing for everyone that sunday which I'm assuming is AK based on the time it starts to see ROL. (my guess, calendar doesn't show it)

we can only afford to go every 3-4 years so won't be back for awhile and the kids want to go to the "dark side" next trip.

I am the family Disney planner and my sister reminded me that most of the stuff we are missing by a few days (ROL, BTMRR, Pizza Rizzo) our kids do not know anything about so they won't feel like they are missing out.

Going 12/7 to AK, but for rope drop. Cousins' first time. Wouldn't stay later even if ROL is open- but hoping if it is the crowd level won't jump dramatically.

LoL...I'm just Bummed completely...Leave in 2 days And going to be missing out on that beauty, as well as BTMRR, Dinosaur, RnRc,amongst others. I truly feel everyones pain.

Either way We'll have a great time as I'm sure most of you all will as well.

Crystal we are there exact same days. Hoping for our ak day on nov 14. Otherwise we have shows, parties. I guess we could skip Fantasmic but not sure I wAnt to

We are there the exact same days! I am hoping they do the soft opening on the 18th, as that is our AK day. We also plan to see Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM!, and the Tree Trail in DS.

I was there last week. Despite bad reviews, I enjoyed the night safari. The hippos were out of the water, the lions were walking around on the rock. Enjoyed the tree awakening. Didn't have time for nighttime Everest, the line for the safari was long.

Wow. I've been away from Disboards for a while but I just had a flashback to stalking the website in April for ROL dining packages. (shout out to other Rumors of Light pin owners) At this point I'm pretty sure ROL is really a cruel hoax Disney is playing on us or the barges sunk in the Bermuda Triangle.
