Rogue One On DCL?

Just got home from seeing it. I think a 13 year old could handle it. Someone had an infant in a stroller there!!! That was a bit much. There were kids all ages there.

Yes, it will be showing onboard, probably through the summer. And yes, they have shown PG 13 movies before onboard.

It will be showing on board for a long time, and it's the Star Wars movie I've been waiting 36 years for. The end is pretty heavy, but overall I didn't see much to really make it bad for kids who are into Star Wars.

My girls 9 and 11 loved it! Some scenes were a little intense for the youngest, then again she gets scared pretty easily.

We cruise on the Magic 12-30, anyone think they will show it in 3D? Perhaps one night in the WD Theater?

It's PG13, you shouldn't let your children under 13 watch it.

PG = Parental Guidance

It's up to the parents in this case if they feel comfortable allowing their kids to see it. There is a lot of politics and social pressure on the ratings that movies get, so I wouldn't get too hung up on them. Hearing from other parents and choosing for yourself is the best route.

Just took my 13 year old. He loved it! But he loves the Star Wars lore. We are getting on the Magic soon and we will watch it again. My 10 year old probably won't because she is not really into that stuff. I think it depends on your kid. There are some sad parts that could upset younger kids. But really it's for fans of Star Wars.

we went on Magic in June 2016 and they had at least 1 3D showing of the Dec 2015 SW movie (maybe more showings), so yes it should be in 3D in March still.

We are cruising in a few weeks and was wondering. Haven't seen it yet but just read that it's a bit heavy for small kids. PG-13.

this specifically:

Any recent/current cruisers who can attest to whether it's being shown. Any other PG-13 movies shown in the past?

TIA

Thanks everyone for the info. I just saw it with 2 of my kids. I agree with the PPs. It was a great movie and a particular theme to work through with kids, imho, is martyrdom. I like how the rebels were inhomogeneous as well... overly extreme ones, cut-and-run ones, anxious over reactive ones... but I digress. I think the rating is appropriate, and that the right younger kids can handle it with guidance.

Also saw it and LOVED IT! But yeah, younger children might not be the right audience. Then again, I would argue that younger children should not watch any of the films, yet they are allowed and have been since the first movie.

Yes, it was showing on our Fantasy cruise last week. We weren't interested, though. And yes, I've seen PG-13 films being offered on DCL before. Thank goodness, the entertainment isn't exclusively geared to small kids.
