ROFR Thread September-December 2015 *PLEASE USE NEW THREAD*

OMG! I'm so very sorry. I wonder if we will start seeing more of those as constructions goes on...I know many VWL owners are wondering if more ROFR activity points to not selling the cabins etc. as VWL II or something like that, and instead using existing points.

Do you have another one you're looking at yet ?

We are thinking the same thing about existing points and extending contracts. We don't have another that we have our eye on right now... pickings are slim and prices have gone up! Part of why we tried to scoop one up a month ago was because we thought it was the perfect time to buy in at a lower price before they would most likely go up with anticipation of the expansion. We ended up a week or two late though! We'll probably take some time to regroup.

We've been looking into DVC for the last 6 or so months, but 2 weeks ago we got back from a 2 week vacation at Disney World staying on Disney property for the first time at Port Orleans French Quarter and we spent quite a bit of time at some of the deluxe resorts and it sealed the deal for us, as soon as we were back I started actively looking at the resale boards and ended up putting in an offer last week, and now I'm pretty excited, and we're already planning our next vacation for October 2016.

Anyway here are the details

So after a tough loss last week, I sucked in my lower lip, put on my big girl pants, and found us another contract! Really though it was all the broker. He's great and he knew exactly what we are looking for so he found us something nice.

Vernie822---SSR-150-Oct-$80-$12,455-38/14, 10/15, all for 2016 forward- sent Sept 21st.

Does anyone have experience with SSR? The buyers were only asking $78 but we and the broker agreed on $80 so that it has a better chance of passing. I am totally OK with SSR instead of OKW because we'll get 12 more years!

Hopefully it passes.. It should with the amount of points 150... We got the nasty ROFR on a SSR contract we put a bid in for last month. IT was for 80 points with 13/14/15 points on it... So we wait for another resale that we bid on, SSR 100 pts 15/16... Both of the contracts are OCT UY which seem to be very popular.

I had been searching for Mar VWL add on points since Jan. It took 8 months to find this contract so I'm relieved beyond words. Good luck to those still searching!

Sorry guys, I forgot to get this posted and wanted to get it listed for datapoint purposes. I only agreed to pay the inflated price because the contract comes with 400 free points (no MF till 16') that get me to an effective price per point of $79.....couldn't pass it up!

I apologize if I really got your hopes up. Nothing yet today? Although BWV, statistically, usually hears on Mondays, it's really all over the board with ROFR status being reported every day of the week (except Sunday). Hoping good news soon for you!
