I guess that'll add a little more dramatic tension the longer it takes to hear back. I wonder what would make them take longer to decide to take it.

Was this one of the old (2042?) contracts? Did someone say that Disney was pulling up VWL so they could sell them as the renewed dates?
Sorry to hear that they took it, good luck on your next one.

In the past three weeks , I think every contract that was ROFRed took 28 days or more, and every one not ROFRed took less than 14 days.

It's no longer dramatic tension to me. Now, it seems if you're beyond about 11 days, you aren't getting it. But you're obligated to wait the entire 28-30 days before you can make another attempt.

I wonder if Disney is doing that simply to raise direct sales. The longer you have to wait, the more you think about direct sales.

There is only 2042 expiry currently for VWL :)

Nothing has been confirmed about the new development, though I noticed that this is the third VWL taken this month, so that might point to them not making a separate new association after all.

A couple years ago it was the opposite. They would usually (but not always) take it quickly if they were going to take it and wait close to 30 days to pass it. It definitely seems you are accurate on the current. trend. Getting ready to enter ROFR this week.

Jumping into DVC... I hope.

It stinks b/c we really want VWL and now I'm not sure if we will try for another one or look into a different resort. Oh well, back to the drawing board.
