I'm pending on 1 and one is post ROFR, first timer here.
AKV 175 points - $105/pt. August. 87/2023 175/2024 175/2025.
This passed a week ago.

SSR 160 points- $92/pt. August. 0/2023 242/2024 160/2025.
This is pending.

I thought I did pretty good, but some of you guys are ridiculous lol. Should have tried a bit more and checked this thread before my offers.
Do yourself a favor especially after purchasing take a break from the ROFR thread or it'll drive you nuts. You did great, I bought my AKV for 110 per point 9 months ago and though I had gotten a good deal until people like you came on here with their low 100s. Ultimately you found contracts in your use year and got it for a good deal. You know what I never here from people who have gone on years of Disney trips? "Damn, I wish I had saved that extra 4 dollars per point or else my vacation would be amazing." You did fine.

I think you’re totally right about this. I bought about three years ago and at the time I paid market price for some contracts, and got some great prices on others. The thing is, the amounts I might have overpaid, coupled with the savings on when I underpaid, seem kind of insignificant in comparison to the huge outlay of dues we all pay every year. Of course it’s great to nab a cheap, loaded contract, but I think it’s more of a short term thrill which fades away a little more every year with the annual dues bill.

I’m going to buy gift card every month through Target to pay dues to remind myself how much it is costing me….

It’s my way of throwing sand in the point buying justification gears….

It really is insignificant. I’m paying 5k in dues this year. You can’t even compare your contract to others because if you needed those points for an upcoming trip then you likely saved more from buying when you did than waiting. If the contract you’re comparing to isn’t even the use year that works for you then it makes even less sense to get upset. Moral of the story: don’t get mad at yourself over losing a few pennies while when you’re spending a couple hundred bucks on this thing.

This is where my hang up is. 200 points at Riv in 2030 will probably be costing a person about $190 a month in dues alone and only increasing from there. This is way down the line but in 20 years (2043) that will easily eclipse $300 a month.

winnieforme---$93.75-$17021-160-AKV-Sep-0/22, 320/23, 160/24, 160/25- sent 10/30, passed 11/14

First contract, so excited!🦒🦓:earsboy:

This is amazing. I have to ask, how many offers did you have to send to get this?
It seems so far below all the listing prices, specially for a full contract with banked points

You should probably delete the ones that are still pending seller response. This thread is specifically for accepted offers that are awaiting ROFR.

They said it was an AKV contract which isnt listed in their post. ? Unless they edited it already?

Nope it was as they quoted and yeah I didn't think much of the additional note either since it wasn't in the format needed to capture it. He was just super stoked about his new big Christmas buy :-) Welcome home!
