Updated my prior post to say that Disney executed their ROFR today. Pretty disappointed.

I know how you feel. Disney took my first contract submiited. Don’t fret, I then found a better “deal” which they passed. Five contracts later, we could not be happier. Dive back in the water is great. Good Luck!

Thanks for the "words of wisdom." The broker we've been working with had another contract available that also suited our needs (more upfront points to boot). Made another offer - hopefully we can come to terms with the seller on that one and that one will pass. We're really hoping to get a vacation in on points next year! Fingers crossed!

Normally you will see an increase of the number of available contracts around this time as the 2018 MF approach.

This will be our first DVC contract!! :-D Stripped, but that's okay with our plans. I was a little surprised that the offer was accepted without a counter, given the current market, but it doesn't have points until 2019.

Sorry to hear that! Mine was taken today too. Was hoping for some holiday magic but alas, its back to the drawing board a/k/a stalking resale sites for another good deal!

Funny thing is, after waiting so patiently for a reasonably priced BCV contract, we had our first trip to BWV last week and we loved it even more than BCV

Looks like Disney did another round of passing/taking. After seeing Disney take the other SSR contract I was worried that they would take mine too but it passed! For the 2017 points 130 of them are banked from 2016, so I wonder if that had anything to do with it...

I am super happy though and feel like we got a good deal.

Of course! Why stay at BWV when you can stay at BCV instead? It's a no-brainer.

After I found out, I put in an offer on a contract for SSR that was accepted, so I now I'm back to waiting. Although after getting one taken, I actually paid a little more than they were asking for it as it was priced under what recent ones have passed for. Trying to up the chances that this one won't get taken. Would have loved to own at BLT, but when I set out to purchase a resale I was looking at BLT and SSR and came across the BLT one in a phone call before it was listed. It was too good to pass up. Obviously Disney thought so too.
