I'm on day 38. And no clue why. I suspect (perhaps being negative) that at some point the broker is going to confess to not sending when they said they did, but my last two check ins, they have insisted.
Crazy! I would be asking for proof it was sent to Disney!

Unfortunately we we forced to cancel these two contracts. We are so disappointed to have to do this. Apparently, the seller was having issues with FIRPTA. They wanted to use an unknown company to process this and the language they were using would open us up the possibility of shifting some or all of the tax liability to us. This was a hard no for us as well as the resale company we were working with. We thought that we had the language worked out to move forward, but the sellers aren’t happy with the protections we want in place and we are unable to move forward without those protections. This has also prompted a change in the language in the resale company’s contracts going forward. (This is a well know company that we have worked with before and this is the first time they have encountered this). We are disappointed that we have had to cancel but we were very pleased with everything the resale company did to both protect us and to try to resolve the issue.

We’ll keep our eyes open to what else might pops up. After all, addonitis never truly goes away!!
wow I'm surprised the sellers did not budge, because the next buyer is going to have issue and unless they change Brokers, the Brokers are going to want to protect the sales transaction so not sure what the sellers options to fix their own sitch, that is their responsibility to handle their own taxes!

I can’t imagine the current broker will repost it and any other reputable broker would also have issues moving forward with a contract with a seller that wants to try shift the FIRPTA burden to the buyer

I saw it but the price per point was $105, but total cost listed as though price per point was $119. Which was not usual for that broker. I assumed an error somewnere.
Ohhhh, that makes sense. I was actually wondering if it was removed because it was listed in error. Now I feel better that we didn't jump at it.

They posted an AKV at the same time with the same points, use year, and price, so I suspect somehow they duplicated it and put the wrong resort. I don’t even see it in inactive listings, so probably removed.

I am relatively new but I think they allow you to do it by posting the website. That allows the site to filter it out if the company is not allowed to be named. So, only using web addresses and not names. So glad you’re having a good experience!
What's the reason why some companies are not allowed to be named?
I'm also new here and don’t want to make a mistake.
