DVC owner may have an emergency at some point during their ownership (kids, parents, accidents, hospitals, weather delays, cancelled flights etc)... Banking on the idea that DVC will accomodate requests for "emergencies" (yours or mine if needed) is buying a whole lotta heartache & disappointment.
And if it IS a real emergency, the last thing anyone needs is a stressful "discussion" begging a company maybe over a period of days to help them recover thousands of dollars in points their contract says they forfeited.
