Em1983---$130-$12656-90-BLT-Dec-0/15, 90/16, 90/17, 90/18- sent 3/10, passed 3/20

Finally after we lost the first we had a change of heart to go for less points at our favorite resort.. and we passed! Worth paying a little more for me to pass since I have 2016 points available too which hold value if I had wanted to sell them to rent.

Now I'm going to be super impatient on the rest of the process :)

Side note the points that came 2016 December on my contract, does anyone know when they have to be banked by so they remain available from 2017 Dec to 2018 Dec? I can ask the agent and Google but figured someone here may know of the top of their head.
I'm so glad this one passed for you :teeth::teeth::teeth:!!!

So excited, we passed!!!!

HLL1318---$84-$14237-150-VWL-Dec-49/16, 150/17, 150/18-Seller pays closing- sent 3/1, passed 3/12
Great news received today! Possible it was sent to ROFR as early as 3/10, but that was the date I sent in the signed contract and 3/13 was the date broker indicated it was signed and sent to ROFR. So we heard back super quick! Broker said I should receive closing docs from closing company by Apr. 3rd.

Congratulations! Can you advise if you reimbursed the Seller for any, or all, of the 300 2017 points (including banked) or did the Seller pay for all? Thank you

Generally you don't reimburse a seller for points from previous UYs. I would imagine that, of the $1556 extra paid ($15056-($90*150)), the buyer paid $933 dues on the current 150 UY points (150*$6.22) and the remaining $623 would be closing costs.

Just a guess though. You know what they say about what happens when you make an assumption... (you make an *** out of U and MPTION. ;) )

That makes me wonder, it's March now, they must be ramping up with April/June to get those for buyers who want those use years now. I know the demand will be distributed evenly but it makes sense that they'd have some points on hand for those in the parks now buying direct right now. I haven't been following this very long at all so I could be completely off base. Just a little tinfoil hat theory!

I'm going to put on my tinfoil hat! Because I've got the lowest $pp BLT contract out there, and I'm figuring that if someone wanted direct BLT points with my UY, Disney could easily make a few thousand by exercising ROFR. Admittedly, I haven't been waiting that long, but I did not expect to feel so edgy while waiting now.

I'll tell you what I told myself when mine was taken by ROFR, "It's just a timeshare." There are always more contracts out there. Even if this one gets taken, there are a bunch right behind it. Hopefully, this little pep talk isn't needed, and you get some good news soon!

Shocked, I got through with this one for my first contract (2nd try). My wife and I had a group hug with our three sons when we found out.

You are going to have one heck of a trip this year if you decide to use all the 2016 points yourselves (as opposed to renting them)!!! Congrats on passing ROFR! Now on to Estoppel. Come on Estoppel!! We are in the "Come on Estoppel" phase ourselves. :)

Yeah I agree there. In that case, UY won't even really matter. I guess thinking about it, a direct buyer only cares about their UY and it all depends on who walks through that door.

Oh same here, que sera sera you know? It's a pain to find the right contract but unlike something like a home or job I'm not that put out by it. But I'd love if it was beyond random factors that caused these contracts to get picked up.

I know this isn't the estoppel discussion, but just thought I'd update. The sellers accepted our offer on 2/9, we cleared ROFR on 2/24 (all of this is already in the data in the first post), and we just received closing documents today, 3/23. So almost exactly 4 weeks from ROFR to docs in hand.

That happened to me on my first contract. Who did you use as your broker?

After checking my email obsessively multiple times a day for the last several days, I just got an email that Disney waived ROFR on our contract! I had been scouring the resale websites looking for backup contracts and resigning myself to losing this contract. WHEEE!!

And yes, I *am* a crazy person because it was sent 3/14 and passed 3/23.

YAY!!! That's so awesome, congrats!!!

Just found this thread and very excited as to find a treasure. Thank you pangyal for maintaining this thread as well as previous people who maintained previous ROFR threads.

I'm curious about this too - I'm about to conclude week 3 waiting on estoppel... :surfweb::coffee::confused3:surfweb::coffee::confused3:surfweb::coffee::confused3:surfweb::coffee:

I'm hoping to book a trip in November so I'm extra anxious as we're rapidly approaching 7 months out from the latest dates in my possible vacation window (factoring in at least 2 weeks from closing to points loading). Probably it's just Disney dragging their feet, right? How much juju is there between the different brokers/closing agencies?

Yesterday I got the email:
Papihavana---$70-$8296-100-SSR-Apr-0/15, 0/16, 100/17, 100/18- sent 2/10 received 2/17 & taken 3/22.:rolleyes1:worship::crowded::scared::crazy::hyper2::guilty::(:crazy2::drinking:

In a way I am sad but relieved... Sad, because I really wanted those 100 points and relieved because I don't have to come up with monies and payment for closing on both at the same time. The good news is that I got them for the price I wanted regardless of not being able to use it right away. This year I can borrow 100 points and save 100 points for next and in 2019 I'll have 200 points to use!

Papihavana---$70-$8296-200-SSR-Dec- 0/16, 0/17, 200/18, 200/19- sent 2/26 passed 3/6:welcome::dancer:
