I cant believe how many are declining offers and asking $145 or more!! (I offered $125, & was declined)

Just means those sellers are in no rush to sell. I can say that all but one of my RIV contracts are gone, and 4 of the 7 were full price only. So, there are definitely buyers out there willing what I wasn’t!

The ROFR monster is still fast asleep! Whew!
Hey, getting closer to where we wouldn't have to worry about paying capital gains tax! Not that we're planning to sell yet....

I got an email this morning from a bottom feeder timeshare resale company telling me I could buy a mostly stripped SSR contract for $85/pt. That’s the offer price from the seller.

You put that in your initial offer email? Would you mind sharing the language you use?

Yes. I just add to the section that has comments. And if they don’t then I tell the broker when I call or text to let them know that’s part of my offer. Just that after 24 hours my offer is withdrawn.

This way I can move on since I won’t offer on more than one at a time.

Sorry if this isn’t the best place to post this but I’m at a loss as to what to do.

I put in an offer/offer was accepted on 3/10. Signed my portion of the documents on 3/14. On 3/17 I reached out and was told the seller had to sign and mail back their portion. By Tuesday, 3/21, still nothing. I reached back out and was told that the papers were on the way back to the broker.

Since I signed on 3/14, I believe today 3/23 is coming up on my 10 days to back out. I want this contract but I’m seeing so many others go so much faster and starting to worry. Was already charged 5k by Mason. Any suggestions are appreciated.
Depends, if this contract is for a hard to get resort in your use year & you‘re not concerned about getting the points for a 7/11 month booking deadline &/or not pushing up against losing points or the ability to bank them if you take a bit longer to close then I’d just wait it out & assume closing was going to take longer than the norm because the sellers were slow. Do look carefully at the closing date in your contract & make sure it’s not ridiculously far out - because w/ slow sellers you may take right up until that date to get the deal done.
If, OTH, this is one of those generic contracts w/ hundreds of other listings to chose from & you want the points sooner rather than later, I’d pull the plug now.

Sadly a few of the BLT contracts I wanted but got rejected have dropped their price to very close to my offer price. The problem is I moved on to a SSR contract and now I do not need or want the number of points they are selling.

I do want a second contract but only need 100- 120 points. These contracts were 150-160 points.

I went into this process knowing I would receive 2 accumulated vacation day checks. I was using those checks to buy 2 contracts. These price drops allow me to buy up to 300 compared to when I started, I figured it would be 200 or under.

Until I see how we use the points I purchase with my "free money" I do not want to commit above that.

I got the email first thing this morning!! Wow, passed in 5 days!! 🎉🥳
Does the email notice come from your brokerage or is that a direct email from Disney? I'm assuming it's from the brokerage but am anxiously awaiting mine (also sent 3/16) and curious who delivers the news. Thanks.

Broker. I don't think we get anything from Disney until the very end.
