I checked in at the end of each week. The lady was very nice and said to check in whenever I wanted to! I only needed to check twice. I was shocked when I emailed today and she said it was closing this afternoon!
Should I check in with the resaler, the title people or both?

Assuming it has been a week or so, I would check with escrow/title first, if they are still waiting on documents from the seller - ask if they can call the seller to confirm they received everything, and if the seller has an idea when they will get documents notarized and returned.

So what now? Mine closed yesterday but I’m brand new to dvc. So what happens now? Do I wait for an email from Disney? Or something in the mail? Thanks to everyone here for your help through this process!

Read the "Closing" Thread in this forum and it will give you the timeline of how long you have to wait for your points.

I was super happy (and shocked) with my extra low blt at $133pp, and now there’s 3 waiting on rofr for less! I wonder how low they’ll go! I just closed on my first contract yesterday and I’m already feeling the addonitis 😆
My first contract was sent to ROFR late last month and I already added another last week before the first made it’s way through 😂

It sure does. I’ve waited a long time. And congratulations on your first purchases 🎉
I am waiting for my initial contract to pass ROFR. I have enough points with this contract for 3 trips over the next 4 years. I figured over our first trip we will visit a few resorts and look at the 2 bedrooms. If we feel we want to start booking those I need about 125 points additional. If one bedrooms are okay I could do it with 50 additional and be able to go every year.

If we decide we want to go at Christmas or Easter, then I need additional points. Under 200 points.

I have 6 different resorts I figured we would book depending on availability and looked at each point chart.

Currently waiting for my contract with ROFR. (pooping my pants is an understatement haha)
My family bought DVC back in 1998 at BCV and growing up my dream was to buy my own points!
Luckily I found a husband as Disney crazy as me and after 10 years of saving we've finally managed it :-)
Fingers crossed the ROFR monster is sleeping when they get our contract haha

I’m thinking some of these brokers are getting hit hard with much lower sales volume and are not taking it very well. The days of easy money is over with lower volume and 2022 prices are gone.
Broker unhappy about an offer on a contract listed higher than average price. Trying to prop up entire market to maximize their benefit won’t last long, but what do I know.

yup. I have gotten some of those types of responses. “I want to help you but” etc. the thing is brokers are also doing the best they can in a down market. Many sellers are truly unreasonable with their asking. Just like people in my neighborhood trying to sell their home at the same price for months and months.
