ROFR Thread April to June 2025 *PLEASE SEE FIRST POST FOR INSTRUCTIONS & FORMATTING TOOL*

I recently got a new guide. I sent in an inquiry for VGC and a guide (not mine) called me a few days later. She said she saw the inquiry and that my guide had been out on leave for over a year and there was no way to know if or when she'd be back. The one who called explained the VGC situation and offered to check daily for me for a suitable contract. She said she didn't need to be my guide to help me, but if I wanted her to be my official guide, I needed to email her stating that I want her for my guide going forward. I sent the email and she did whatever she needed to with the email and is now my guide.

Long story short, I think when you are on property, if you meet someone that you like, you can ask them to become your guide. You'll have to do the email request, but it's easy.

Do you have to email your old guide to say you're ditching them? Because I would feel totally weird doing that. Ha!

I'm guessing that they would probably wait to do the closing till June 1st in order to avoid giving the 2024 points. We already own 200 resale GC points so it's not a "have to have" situation for us. We also already own 300 direct dianeyland points so it would only gain us the ability to use those GC direct points at Riviera (we own resale there) or the cabins at fort wilderness buying them direct and they cost cost to much in my opinion to use the at the Fort.

That does make sense if the contract they were selling us didn't have 2024 points. Maybe they will work some magic and offer us another contract that has 2024s available. I still feel like $330 is too steep for us and our situation.

Just to clarify, the points they have no longer in a contract…it’s dissolved, and they go back into the bucket for that specific unit.

Since the original contract was a Feb UY, and we already entered the 2025 UY when you were notified, or asked, no 2024 points exist.

So, they’d need new ones to show up before May 31st that have a June or later UY that still has the points eligible.

They offered to change the UY because they gave themselves the ability to do it, but it doesn’t allow them to give points that may have already been used.
