You submitted one day before we did. I had my fingers crossed for today, but I'm thinking now it will probably be next Friday. I just hope we can get started on the estoppel process before the Labor Day weekend. I really need my member number before Thanksgiving so I can upgrade to the DVC AP.

I'm hoping we both hear before the very last day! Good luck on your member number, I'm thinking that you will be in good shape time wise. We are fortunate in that we already have the AP - we just will have to wait until renewal time to get the advantage of DVC discount! I love the analysis you do, and have watched DVC sales for some time (actually made an offer about 3 years ago, only to have the seller accept a competing offer... I decided to wait before making another offer. Poor decision!!). One thing that would be interesting is an analysis of what effect the time of year has on DVC prices. It may not be anything at all, but it does seem to me that more listings come available in late winter/early spring (February-March) and that has some effect on prices. Maybe people put their DVC membership on sale after they get the Annual Dues notice! It would take a multi-year analysis to really see if there is a seasonal fluctuation on the resale side, and I'm not sure if that kind of data really exists anywhere in the public realm.

Been stalking the forums for some time trying to learn more about DVC and wish to thank everyone for unknowingly helping to educate us as we researched purchasing our first DVC contract. We learned a lot from your knowledge and experiences. I wish we could have purchased during the 2012/2013 markets but are very excited for the opportunity to join the DVC.

I do have one tidbit of information that I've noticed seemed to be a pretty reliable pattern for the past two years at least- Disney seems to not bother taking pretty much anything in ROFR for the first four or five months of the year (except for a few obviously too-low BCV etc.) and then starts ramping up in June.

The brokers usually automatically let you know the date it's been sent, so you should have no problem getting that from them if you get in touch!

I am waiting to here back...in ROFR right now...just curious will it show up in the occompt website soon as I know if passes or it was taken back? Or will the broker know before I will and then it gets posted. I keep checking the website daily. Thanks!

broker will tell you, you have probably 2+ months before checking website time. Sorry!

We passed on $65 at OKW a few months ago, but lately they have been taking back OKW more. It depends on how soon you want your contract. We decided we didn't want to pay more than $65/pt at OKW and were willing to just keep cycling through until one passed at that price if the first one didn't pass.

That's where we are at. I want to bring our ownership to 1000 points but we are in no rush. $65 is my top price. Thanks for your help.
