**ROFR Thread 2014 JULY-DEC** Please read 1st post for instructions

Just got our first DVC contract sent off for ROFR! Took 7 days from when we signed the contract and 5 days from when seller signed to get the papers sent off by the broker.

Buyer pays closing and Seller pays 2014 maint fees.

I'm already hating the waiting!! But at least now I know it is in Disney's hands and the 30 day clock is started.

Asking price was $70, we offered $67 and they countered with $68. Now crossing our fingers it passes. I really didn't think I would be posting on this board so soon, but things have been going well financially so my husband said, "Let's do it!" Now I just wish I had a friend who has DVC so I can have them check availability for our trip. Hoping by the time we get our Member # there will still be good selection. April 30-May 9, can't wait!!!

Passed on day 27!!! 9/18. We got the email from The Timeshare Store at 4:02pm.

We got notice last Thursday that we passed ROFR!!! Our contract is at AKV for 120 points, December use year. Just waiting for the final paperwork to come in so we can send lots of money to the title company!!!

After much thought (only a weekend) I decided to purchase a DVC. My brother and his family are also in the process of buying a resale DVC. My brother and I are both in ROFR. We both will find out in September....

September is going to a long month.

Great news! We just received word this morning that Disney has waived ROFR. So, we sent on 8/25 and passed 9/22.

This one went to ROFR today ! Not the deal of the century , but we had a VERY hard time finding VWL to match our UY, and we needed some current 2014 points to go with it for next year . Seems like an awful lot of contracts are stripped on the resale market .
