We finally just passed ROFR! not sure why it took almost 45 days but at least we passed with such a low price per point.

im still waiting for Disney to show the new membership number. Today they rejected our recorded ROFR and Deed and our requiring a signed contract extension. I think our timeshare broker "A Timeshare Broker" was not on top of the time schedule. I started the contract in July and we still don't have the membership number.

First post on the Disboards, but it's an exciting one! After years of consideration, we decided the best way to try out DVC was to buy a small contract, and we just got word today that we passed!

A2Cmommy -- $63-$3150-50-HHI-February, 50/'15, 50/'16, etc - sent 10/8 - passed 10/28

We've stayed at HHI for the past few beach trips and love it, and are thrilled to own a (small) piece of it!

Notified today that the deed is on its way to Disney. Close is complete! Now just waiting to get into Disney's system. So far, I'm at 2 months from the start of this process.

UGH, that is terrible. But think of how much money you saved.

Was this bought from redweeks4less on eBay? Looks suspiciously familiar to one I saw for the exact same price/UY/points. If so, I doubt they even have the week let alone actually submitted it for ROFR:

Even if not, worth posting, since these guys are notorious, but newly starting to list DVC so everyone here should be aware.

If not, two in Jan-June passed at $56 and $57, so I think your chances are fine. Contrary to what timeshare resellers will tell you, ROFR has little to nothing to do with price -- SSR's taken Jan-Jun were $60-$73, during the same time the $56 and $57 passed.

I am just curious!! What do you mean by "I think this will pass if the seller has all the docs on their side together for Disney" Is that one of the factors Disney looks at? Good luck with getting yours. Hope it works out for you!! I am excited about ours too!

Yes, Many may think I am crazy but I went into the POTENTIAL purchase with eyes wide open. I have seen all the threads above and several others that conveyed varying degrees of incompetence....my ultimate conclusion was that in exchange for saving $3000 (if the deal goes through) I am setting my self up for some major headaches and possibly having to start over if it falls apart. I view my trouble as sweat equity When looking at ALL the reviews of this company on line, I was satisfied that they aren't thieves per se but border on criminally negligent....with that I intentionally purchased via credit card (o% with cash on hand to pay off...so don't worry folks) to ensure that my money is safe if they do not deliver as promised. I do have in writing the date of submission and so I will know once we get to the 30 day market if things are on the up and up. I will be sure to put the follow ups here. Fingers crossed.
