ROFR question

Ouch, I am waiting on ROFR-$75 VWL had 107 left on 2005, nothing banked. April use year. This does not sound good, but we can only hope for the best!

It had all 2005 points and 8 banked from 2004 - September use year.

Okay, you all are scaring me! I have a contract for SSR that I JUST signed. I thought Disney rarely took back contracts. Will I be okay if I bought 130 points at$80?

I joined today and this is my first post but I have reading for a couple of months.

senecabeach, it's only a rumor, but really, I don't know. I sure hope that we'll be "grandfathered" if there is a price increase, but there was a recent post that said we wouldn't be.

For those VWL contracts that Disney took the ROFR, were you paying the maintanence dues for any 2004/2005 points?

We got our VWL contract in November (150 points, August use year, all 2004 and 2005 points). We paid the 2004 maintanence dues and the 2005 dues came after we bought. We paid $74 a point. Is the difference the fact we are two months later (and Disney has changed their mind about what they want) or is the use year the difference?

Just found this thread. I think that my contract is a goner too. BWV**
It had points from '04 and all of '05.
My guide is not in for the next couple of days, I'm thinking about offering a higher price, or paying on the '04 dues or something! The sellers are going to think, "Whatever!"**
As it is right now, my contract (if it passes ROFR) won't close until March, and I won't be able to book anything until mid-March!! I have soooo many trips planned for this year.
At least, I'm prepared for the worst. I guess. Still hopeful though

The contract that we "lost" had all points for 2005 and 5 points banked from 2004. We were going to pay dues on all 2005 points and closing costs. Sounds like we would have been fine if we had done this a month or more ago! Timing is everything.

We found out about the ROFR really quickly -- I think it was only about 10 days.

I had a 50 pt BCV contract listed w/TSS for $73/point. It was stripped. August use year 3 points coming August 2005. I found out this week Disney did exercise ROFR. I did not think they were after stripped contracts, but they took this one. FYI.

Add me to the boat of sweating people, we just put in an offer at $75 on VWL too and are waiting to hear if Disney's going to ROFR it.

As I just posted in the recent ROFR thread on the Community Board, we're in! The seller just informed us that Disney passed on our 160 points BCV contract, April use year with all 2005 points intact at $78 a point.

Sorry for the double post, I'm just so excited and I wanted to add encouragement for those waiting on the process. BTW, it is really confusing to me why some ROFR threads are allowed to stay on this board and others stay on the Community Board! Kind of tiring to switch back and forth to read about the same subject.

Yes, we purchased directly from a private seller (after responding to their for sale ad).

Just wanted to share with you all that I called my broker and had them up my offer 2pts higher. At least, I'll feel like I did everything that I could do to get this BWV contract passed! He left the decision completely up to me, and said another client had called to do the same. Okay, that's it! I'm done...Hopefully, that sealed it for me** If not, there will be a better one.
