ROFR Agony.... HHI

Our final ROFR day is the close of business this Friday!
SO, I guess that means we'll have to wait till Monday to close if DVC doesn't let us know on Thursday if we passed ROFR.

I REALLY hope we did - and this coming Friday is our ROFR 30 day mark.

We are on pins and needles because it is a great deal at HHI with a banked and available points - so we REALLY want this contract - AND it matches out use year and is a great number of points for how often we want to use the contract - and how we want to use it.

I haven't seen them buy any HHI points back in a while from all the places I check - but who knows!

I just want to get this closed already and make out first HHI reservation - hopefully for Labor Day weekend/week if anything is still available!!!

Good luck with your contract. It does not appear that Disney is buying many contracts other than BC and I hope yours is no different.

Good luck with your contract! From my experience, it seems like maybe Disney has a ROFR meeting on Thursday or Friday, because we heard on Christmas Eve (a Friday). Then, from the time we passed until we could use the points for a reservation was about 3 weeks. Sometimes I felt like I was counting the minutes!

Simba's Mom - Very true - I feel like I went from looking at contracts for sale - to waiting a month to hear back - to waiting weeks to hear back - to waiting days to hear back - and now I feel like I am indeed waiting HOURS to hear back - it could be any minute - I just know it!!!!!

COME ON ALREADY!!!

If they know they aren't going to buy anything back - why in the world do they make you wait 30 days?

We even contacted Disney to check about the pricing of HHI buying directly - but they had three strikes against them - they didn't have anything with our UY - AND - it was more than twice the price of the current offer that we are waiting on! Then the 3rd strike is that is would not be 'front loaded' with banked and current points.

I liked buying a contract that had a good number of points up front since that means that we will always be a year ahead of ourselves in using it - so Bank-Borrow-Use won't be painful at all if we ever want to do a BIG family trip.

If this passes - this will be our largest contract yet. We are really excited about the different options, opportunities, and other 'stuff' we can do with points that don't tempt us to go to WDW on every vacation!

We can't wait to own at HHI - let's just hope we get to be Owners by Friday!

But until then, - the waiting continues!

Well.....
We heard nothing today!

So tomorrow is the day - we have to hear from them tomorrow OR we get to move forward with the closing.

Disney has 30 days - and tomorrow is 30 days from the time it was received by Disney.

We either will or will not be Hilton Head Owners tomorrow- March 4th, 2011!


It certainly didn't happen today!

This is indeed ROFR Agony! We are down to the final day, people!

Just nod your head one way or the other!!!!
That's all it takes!
