I think you mean ROFR - Right of First Refusal.
If you ever sell your
DVC membership, DVC has the right to review all sales and buy your contract back if they wish.
In practice, this means that if you sell your contract for, say, $73 a point, and have a buyer that agrees to pay that price, the sale then goes to DVC for review. If they decide that they want it at that price, they will pay you the $73 per point, and the contract now belongs to them.
That can be a headache if you happen to be the buyer, and have agreed on a price with the seller. Disney can swoop in and take the contract, and you have no recourse but to start looking for another contract.
From an owners' perspective, it's a good thing. It helps keep the resale value up.
