Has anyone stayed at the Rodeway Inn?? I can't believe that their rooms would be so inexpensive--and they say that pets are allowed-does anyone know(I can't find an e-mail address on the website)if that is ANY pet?? Thanks.....

Our biggest hesitation on travelling to Disney is what to do with our dog for a whole week and if we could bring him with us, that would be great-that's why I asked.

I stayed at the Howard Johnson Maingat East which is right next to the Rodeway Inn (if it's the same one) anyway HJMGE is also very inexpensive and I was so worried before getting there that it would be horrible. Well it turned out to be good. Of couse it's nothing fancy but if you're looking for a clean bed and a hot shower (and a warm pool) this is a good place just a few minutes away from WDW. They also give coupons for kids to eat free at IHOP and Shoney's which are next door. As for pets I have no idea we have our dog babysat at a friends house. The HHMGE has a web site it's www.hojomge.com Hope this helps Have a great trip.

Thanks everyone, but it looks like we're prob going to stay at AllStar Movies--this is where we wanted to stay in the first plave and only started to look off-site because some of the prices were better, but we've been told that since this is our one and only trip to Disney, we should stay on-site. Also, we thought that the kids eat free stuff at the hotels would be great-then we found out that some are "under 10" and some are "under 12" and ours are 12 and 10, so if we can't get free food for both of them , it won't be worth it.........

I think you made a wise choice. Nothing compares to staying on-site. :Pinkbounc

BTW - what did you do with your dog? :p

We haven't decided yet-we went on a weekend trip to NH for my cousin's graduation last June and we left Max at this lady's house who took good care of him as far as we could tell, she had land behind her house so he could run around and stuff, but we felt funny--can't really explain it, but didn't feel right when we picked him up-like maybe she kept him tied up all weekend-how do we know?? So, for Disney, we were thinking of having someone in the family move into our house for the week....a little leary about that idea......but still deciding. See, our dog isn't crated-I work from home and he's used to having the run of the house.....we usually camp and he comes with us, so we don't run into these kinds of problems. But, if we want to take the kids to Disney, we've got to have someone take care of him while we're gone. Thanks for asking........btw...he's a boxer---and they are a GREAT breed......he's around children all day and has the patience of a saint. Take care!!

Oh,do I know how you feel!!!!
One of our babies is a rescue and whenever we went away,we left them with SIL who lets them run around her house (they are not crated trained either).Whenever we went to pick them up ,the rescue would be upset for a couple of days. So,I decided to ask my mom if she would mind staying at our house to take care of them.Well, we've taken two week long trips in the past 3 months and when we get home the rescue is soooo happpy I guess she feels safe at home . My mom who originally wasn't that happy with the arrangement loves to doggysit for us.Actually, she keeps asking us when are we going away again.Go figure!!

So, letting a family member doggysit Max at your house might be a great idea.;)
