For those of you not able to ride Mission Space for one reason or another, you now have a wonderful alternative there.

The regular ride is still there but now you have a choice not to spin on a portion of them. Both have exactly the same video and the "lite" version still gives you the effect of taking off into space but without the worry of any upset. It moves back and forth and to the side as well but no spinning at all.

So come on over and enjoy this new version of the ride. I think you'll be glad you did.

YIPPEE SKIPPEE!!!! I can NOW do MS!!!! :bounce: :cool1:  :Pinkbounc :cheer2:

Yea, I definitely will try the milder version. I said I would never go again. Was it aliitle like body wars & star tours or milder than that?

I'm so glad to read your post. I've been waiting to hear from someone who actually rode the tame version. Thanks so much. Now I can get my husband on it and my teen. :teeth:

Yes, it is along the lines of Body Wars and Star Tours now but it think it is even milder than those.

Seem to recall both the above bounced you around quite a bit (maybe depending on where you sat) but the new Mission Space did not at least in my opinion. The control panel still comes up to you but it felt like I was tilted back further than on the spinning version. As the video moves left or right you will, too, and you still press the buttons and control the joy stick as before.

They did a great job with it and I think it will now be very popular with everyone.

I just walked in today but have no doubt once the word gets out the lines will be there.

No way I only want the real thing.

Two different lines? One for the "extreme" MS, and one for the "mild" MS? Not quite understanding how it's the same ride with two different versions? Does everyone stand in the same line and then get split up if they want different versions of the ride?

Yipee! I for one am thrilled that they have created a new version. I swore I'd never go on it again after last time. When I rode it before I felt ill for the rest of the day.

The new version had a separate entrance. It is what was the Single Line entrance. Whether that will change as more guests come in I don't know but that's where I went in today.

They will use color to indicate to guests the regular and new versions. Green is for the new one and orange for the regular. It took the form today of being handed a flyer with a green edge on it as I approached the front and indicated I wanted to try the new version. I was then directed through the old Single Line.

I imagine color coded signs or indicaters of some kind will be used once it gets going but today was the soft opening and "that's the way it was".

Happy to see so many of you are looking forward to it.

i wondered about the line too, when do you decide , before you enter the waiting area or do the chickens...er i mean those motion sickness inclined....go in a totally different entrance ?

sorry i must have been asking as you were telling...

So is it only one person at a time to do the tame version or is there several places to sit? Just wondering....if I make my 2 sons do the tame one with me, that we could do it all together.

We just returned home today from our trip and learned of this. We rode Mission Space 4 times while we were there and we're very happy that they give you the choice instead of taming the entire ride. My DW and I love the extreme version and would hate to see it go away. Now I we would actually like a more extreme version like it was when the ride first opened....call it "Lite, Medium and Extreme".....we are thrill seekers.

Just glad they at least gave everyone a choice instead of killing the entire thing for those of us who enjoy the extreme version. I actually told my DW today that they should offer a choice of wild and mild for those who can't take the spin. Personally, I closed my eyes and looked around once while riding and STILL got no sensation of spin or disorientation....I guess everyone is wired a bit different, while it bothers some and not others.

Its identical to the old one but without the spinning. It even uses the same vehicles. Just turned off the spinning and increased the movement. I've read three reviews and they all liked it. It fits between Soaring and Star Tours in its intensity.

So does that mean there isn't a Single Rider line anymore?
