Rod Stewart is creating a Broadway musical about London in the swinging sixties. Originally entitled "Wake Up, Maggie," now the working title is "Tonight's the Night."

Just got the new Rod Stewart CD last week. All the old songs, he does them very well. It just is different for Rod Stewart.
Fun but different.
Would I see him in a musical?? You bet'cha!

I wonder if this is following on teh coat tails of Mamma Mia and Moving out (Moving out being Billy Joel's musical).

I doubt you'll see Rod Stewart in the musical - but instead it'll be some sort of interpretation of his songs and music

I think you're right, Mona. if it makes it to Broadway at all --- many shows die out of town.

though I am a Rod Stewart fan...

But then again, "Movin' out' seems to have gotten good press.
