I like Magni and he certainly did improve last week. If he keeps that up, he should be right in there with the finalists.

Wow. After those performances tonight, I was surprised that they sent Chris home. I thought for sure Salma Hayek was toast. I really, really, really don't like her. I don't really like Chris either, but I thought he did well tonight. He showed that he actually could sing. She's just plain weird. But in the words of American Idol's Mary Roach, "Weirdness is Orginality too!!" (DH still won't let me delete that episode from the Tivo!!). I thought Jill was awesome tonight and I thought it was funny how they kept showing how pissed Salma was while she sang that song. She clearly did not like Jill singing a song that she did last week. Jill sang it SO much better!!

I'm surprised too. I thought that there were worse ones than Chris and that he could possible grow.

I'm starting to wonder if they're going to send a series of males home first.

I think they liked Chris and that is why they kept him last week. All he did this week was prove that he can sing the ballad-like songs but not the edgy rock tunes. I think that is what they are looking for.

I can't believe they didn't send her home! SHE CAN'T ROCK! and who in their right mind would repeat the song that got them in the bottom three! After their discussion with her the night before WHY DID THEY KEEP HER!

Chris was OK IMO but he might as well go as there is no way he would ever be picked in the end... but... he should have stayed over the woman they kept. She was terrible. Can't believe she even made it on the show.

IMO they will pick a woman because it would be something different for fans of these guys to see on tour. I know I would be more interested than if they just picked another Axl or Vince clone. I really like the one who sang Ring of Fire.

I hate to say it, but I think Zayra was kept for the drama. I was SO mad when she sang the same song. DH and I said...oh well, the other 2 will be happy she just sealed her fate. But then she STAYED?!?!

Chris was in the bottom three two weeks in a row that's why they sent him home - they all even mentioned it. Sorry, but his lisp bothered me and you could really hear it on the accoustic song he did last night.

Jill sure did redeam herself after that awful wedding dress fiasco.

Sorry I'm late. Life got in the way of having fun.

I'll skip the blow-by-blow of each singer this time around.

I think Zyara, or however you spell it, is plain catspit insane. Call the ones judging you old, then the next night play the "poor little me, growing up.." card. My favorite moment, which may have been the result of editing, was her asking the band in her flirty little girl voice, "you could teach me...?" and Tommy responding, "What did You just SAY?"

Chris, so sorry to see you go, but you never quite get the whole...well as my DH says, the grimace musically stuff. You never really looked like a Rock Star, and honestly, little miss catspit crazy will make for better tv. For the next week anyway.

Jill, ya killed on the sing for your life part. Good thing too after that dreadful Violet debacle.

Magni, I still like you. Rock on, and but a swagger on it.

Dilani, please for the love of all that is holy, sing one time for us. Please. You looked like you were leading a coven of witches with your Ring Of Fire. You do have the grimace musically and stage presence to spare...so sing.

Storm, Liked it, and considering I'm no fan of Cheap Trick, that says something. Can you please chose a song that not from the 70's next time, though?

No one else stood out enough for me to remember and comment on and I don't feel like rewatching the tape.

My wife noticed the lisp as well. I don't really focus on those things since I'm into lots of bands with a singer who is far from great. Most of them just have a great style, and that I what I heard them slamming Chris for, lack of style.

I'm a big fan of Cheap Trick and hated her version of Surrender - Dave was right when he said it looked too theatrical like she was in a musical - she was much better last week.

That's a good point. The guys probably got together and said "Let's face it, they're both going home eventually. She makes us (and the audience) laugh. Let's keep her around for the entertainment factor."
