***ROCKSTAR: Supernova*** (spoilers welcome)

My prediction for final four: Dilana, Storm, Lucas and Toby.

I'm loving the girls this season! I think Dilana and Storm are miles ahead of the pack. I love that Dilana gets up and rocks it while the others are singing. Most of the others just sit on their behinds.

Zaira was horrible as usual. She's so bad that it's become comical to watch her.

I think you have the top four but I think it will come down to Dilana and Lucas. Storm sems to be more flash tha actual talent.

Zaira is absolutely terrible. How did she make it this far?????

Lukas – Bittersweet Symphony (The Verve). At the beginning I was eh about it. When he rocked it out in the end I changed my mind.

Zayra – Call Me (Blondie) . Seriously what was with the Space Oddity Dominatrix outfit? And please I can sing Call Me better than she can and that's really not saying much.

Dana – About a Girl (Nirvana). Wow. Never saw that coming. Good performance but still seeing her as a solo artist.

Patrice – Remedy (The Black Crowes). She can sing but she's not memorable.

Toby – White Wedding (Billy Idol). One of the best male contenders.

Magni – Heroes (David Bowie) Seriously do not know what the band's problem was with his performance. I loved it.

Ryan – I Alone (Live) Finally! He can really sing!

Jill – Brown Sugar (The Rolling Stones) - with Gilby on guitar . kind of cheesy cover band-esque. very average

Phil – One Headlight (The Wallflowers) This is a song that has a lot of meaning for me and he ruined it.

Dilana – Time After Time (Cyndi Lauper) Talk about making a song your own. Like DH said- she sang it better than Cyndi Lauper did. She's a chameleon and she's always holds my attention.

Josh – No Rain (Blind Melon) well he rocked it as best as one can with a blind melon song but not good enough. Only Zayra can keep him from going. Plus arguing with the band about what they need and their music vision isn't cool.

Storm – Anything Anything (Dramarama). High energy, Awesome vocals. Still the creepy eye thing but she even gave Dilana a run for her money.

I'm quoting you because I agree with everything you said. Just wanted to add:
Lukas: He needs a makeover, but I really like to listen to him and he has the stage presence. I love Bittersweet Symphony and I liked what he did with it.

Phil: His performance is so "A Night at the Roxbury" with the head thing. I thought of that song the whole time I was watching him.

Dilana: I love her. She has the vocals, the stage presence, she's the total package.

Josh: He creeps me out with the smiles and winks. He looks sooo uncomfortable on stage.

Storm: I like her and the creepy "Marty" eyes don't bother me. She does something else with her eyes and mouth that's more like a sex kitten look that drives me nuts. Loved her energy on stage and her dive.

My predictions for bottom 3: Zayra, Josh, and either Jill or Phil. Please, just send them all home and be done with it!

I love Toby and Dilana and Storm still. I unfortunately missed Lukas and besides the three I mentioned and maybe Magni, I''m not that impressed with the others. Zayra needs to go home!

Well well well, despite my fears, Storm performed that song perfectly! Really loved it.

I'd have to say that Dilana remains my favorite. She's so far above the rest of them in talent and performance. I'll still be very surprised if Supernova chooses a female, though.

David Blaine's slow cousin, I mean Ryan, finally woke up tonight and did a pretty good job.

My fantasy would be that they whack Phil, Jill and Zayra all in one fell swoop tomorrow night, and stop wasting our time with them. Phil is a textbook case of tone deafness. And did he even connect with the words he was singing? Why the crazy death metal eyes during that song?

I think Zayra and Jill are just hoping for a Playboy centerfold offer, and have no genuine interest in fronting Supernova.

Finally, I know there are some big Lukas fans here, but I'm just not feelin' him yet. Maybe I'm just distracted by his uncanny resemblance to this guy:

Admit it...throw some eye shadow and a skunky mohawk on Ron Howard's ugly little brother, and you've got Lucas.

I loved your whole post and agree with everything! Correct me if I'm wrong but didn't INXS send home 2 at once last year? If so, then there's hope after all that PHil/Jill/Zayra will be gone!

Lukas – Bittersweet Symphony
I didn't really like it. I thought he soudned too strained and it didn't really work for me. I think he is in no danger of going anytime soon, but if he doesn't "open his throat" or whatever crap it is that Jason is telling him to do, then he will never make it to the final 3.

Zayra – Call Me
Awful singing. She was so out of breath from her unusual gyrations that she couldn't sing. And the outfit - spacewoman stripper? I mean, yes she has a good body, but did she raid Catwoman wardrobe rejects for that getup?

Dana – About a Girl
Much more rock than anything else she has done on the show. She is a great singer. It was nice to see her faux grungy and not made up like a rock tart.

Patrice – Remedy
I know I saw this, but I have no recollection fo it at all. She reminds me of Tara (name might be wrong?) from last season (I think the last song ?Tara? sang was Suffragette City and she had red streaks in her brown hair?)

Toby – White Wedding
One of my top 2 guys. I think he did a pretty good job.

Magni – Heroes
I really liked his performance. [My other top guy, btw] I think the band was wrong about him last night.

Ryan – I Alone
Miles better than Marty did it last year! Not bad, but I still don't see him as a winner. But his name is "catchy" like JD Fortune [Fortune, Star, both have good connotations], so who knows?

Jill – Brown Sugar
Good singer, but she is kind of too slutty, methinks, based on Gilby's comments. I have a hard time with a woman singing this song, but whatever.

Phil – One Headlight
I think he stinks. He looks bored and kinda slow or something. I thought he had no energy and looked like he would fall onto the ground in a heap like a rag doll at any moment.

Dilana – Time After Time
I think she should have rocked it out instead of stripping it down. She's already stripped down Ring of Fire, and Zombie is a slower paced song, too. She needs to do some Franz Ferdinand or Killers if they have one of them in song selection next week.
I think she did a great job, but I want to see her rock again.

Josh – No Rain
Totally missed it. But I think I might have done that on purpose b/c Kermit Josh annoys the stuffin' outta me. I am assuming he did the blues thing AGAIN. I think he just wants exposure from this show, not to actually be frontman to Supernova.

Storm – Anything Anything
I loved it. I think she toned down the eyes a bit and the humping of the mic stand.

My bottom three: ZAYRA, Phil and Josh (even though I missed his performance).
Going home: Zayra or Josh (maybe both).
Encore: Probably Lucas - he hasn't had one yet, right? My personal pick would be Storm, though.

I didn't like the whole thing with Jill humping Gilby last night and I kept yelling at the screen, "Get off his butt!!!", but I kind of felt bad for her. It seems as if these guys are encouraging the women to use their sexuality, and they seem to be giving mixed messages.

I really liked Magni, Jill, and Dilana.

Magni - I agree with the band, no need for the guitar. Put it down and engage with the crowd during a song like that. But for what he did, he did great.

Jill - Disagree with the band. The song is sex, why not sex it up. Those four sure do give mixed messages.

Dilana - Another perfect performance IMO. That's how you give a soft song edge.

Josh or Zayra needs to go IMO, nuff said.

Zayra needs to go. Looked like an interplanetary hooker. Who is her pimp? Space Ghost?

I like the show but thought last season was better. I mean playing with Supernova? Who thinks Supernova will make more than one CD or will even stay together that long? They are simliar to the Super Group show on VH1

Speaking of last season, whatever happen to Jordis? I really liked her but she seemed to lose interest halfway through the season. Has she put out a CD?

I am pulling for Delina. I just hope Lukas doesnt win.

Lukas – Bittersweet Symphony
Not familar with the song. When I closed my eyes and just listened, the lyrics were incomprehensible. I was not impressed. My DH has him in his personal top 4, for that amazing stage presence thing, but worries he may be a little too punky.

Zayra – Call Me
What a cat being run over by a trainwreck sounds like...while covered in latex. Seriously, don't like her, thought she didn't do a good job with the song and hope she's offa my tv very soon.


Dana – About a Girl
Meh. I doubt she's gonna stick around until the end of this competition.

Patrice – Remedy
Another Meh. Doesn't seem right for this band.

Toby – White Wedding
Was okay, nothing to write home about. I am hoping he steps it up a little, vocally and on stage, because he's in my personal top 4.

Magni – Heroes
Dude can SING! I closed my eyes again while he was singing and it was GREAT. I would buy a cd with his vocals. Still needs a little more oomph up there on stage, but he is the guy who is in both DH and my top 4.

Ryan – I Alone
Good effort, not in my favorites and this performance didn't make me really take notice of you.

Jill – Brown Sugar
LOL, Gilby's comment was funny, especially after DH and I were discussing how humping Gilby from behind was such a bad look for you. Singing was okay, not great though.

Phil – One Headlight
So not a rockstar, or at least not with a band like this.

Dilana – Time After Time
Oh, girlie, I didn't know you had such a pretty voice! Girl can sing, she can growl, she can gravel and she can howl! Love ya, DH loves ya, you're in both of our top 4's and we'd so buy a cd with your vocals.

Josh – No Rain
Uh wow, you went up there and DH and I exchanged looks. You and Ryan look sort of interchangeable. We wondered if you were trying to take a second turn. Might as well have, as my thoughts for you are the same as I gave him.

Storm - Anything Anything
I was so glad we taped it, just so I could watch that again! That was beautiful! Sounded great and it seems like someone's been attention in class! You rocked it hard! You made DH join my camp with you in our top 4 this week, he dropped Jill for you.

I agree about the mixed message. Tommy is a perv who is always leering and making sexual advances/comments, but the other guys do not. They all need to get on the same page. I am sure Mr. Lee's libido kept Zayra on the past few times she was in the bottom three, b/c she cannot sing rock music.

According to her blog on the Rockstar site, her song had a note that said "must be performed acoustically."

Y'know I thought the show was live until I was reading through the blogs this morning. It seems that they tape it a day or 2 in advance. I had no idea.

Does anyone know if they normally release this show on DVD later? I didn't watch last season. I just love watching the online reality episodes and would love to have the whole show on DVD.

Wednesday's elimination show I believe is live though - it would have to be since they have to wait for the phone in results from Tuesday night - or do they???

I had no idea how ISOLATED the contestants are....they can't read the comments on their blogs or anything like that. I read that phone time with their relatives is monitored..........

Couldn't agree with you more! The only reason I can think of keeping her is the controversy she exudes. She isn't afraid to jab right back at them and maybe in their minds it's good for ratings .............she defineately cannot sing! And I don't particularly find her all that good looking either.
